Job offer + Tae Woo Korean restaurant + Madame Patisserie

Something is happening on this field for almost a month now... Since around mid-Jan, think it's 13 Jan, noticed activities are happening on it le. They are building new HDBs! Why don't build even before I moved in here? Now it would make a contrast and I would keep comparing now and in the olden days. Haiz, no more breezy days in future le...

Participants:
1. Me
2. PG
3. Nicholas
4. HH

This was a super impromptu outing.

Actually they were talking about it the day before but I wasn't very interested in going out after back from CNY. *Still having CNY withdrawal syndrome!* But something happened at 2.35 pm: received a call which the number I could very easily recognised. It was from the HR of the whom I went for interview with during 15th interview! Yay! She called to offer me the job! Omgaakkkk! Couldn't believe it when I heard the news! After 15 interviews leh then finally got job le! Whole person jin happy and I started jumping around in the house and screaming shrieking out loud loud...

Now I really need to switch back my body clock!!!

After whole person xyy, I agreed almost immediately to Nicholas's outing. LOL~ And they PG and Nicholas wanted to try out the new Korean restaurant at Central called Tae Woo. Aigoo... Same name as Kim Tae Woo ds... Aigoooooo.

Since HH free after 3.10 pm, I told Nicholas I won't reach so early coz xyy at home ds. Nicholas and HH went to Central together and PG shrieking out loud on MRT upon hearing this news. Omoooo~~~ Only reached Central around 5 pm when everybody sitting at the concourse waiting for me lol. *First time seeing HH wearing office wear in real person, actually no matter what he wears, he should really slim down and whatever he wears would look better ds, now the button almost bursting out when he sits down coz could see openings around his belly ds aigoo*

Went to check out Tae Woo. The shop had indicated it would re-open at 5 pm again to do dinner business for that day. But it was 5.15 pm already and the restaurant almost, if not, empty. Asked the staff there and was told that something happened to the kitchen and come back 1 hour later.

Rolling Rice

So we took a stroll and sat at the river cruise pick-up point. HH began to talk and he did most of the talking. He talked about his job and the possible career progression after being a qualified teacher. Also, he described what happened to Sebastian regarding Sebastian got a big matter but didn't tell HH they all.

Went back to restaurant again and we were the first ones to enter. Free seating was jin yang, chose the corner seats where there is sufficient lighting. Yang~

Ordered 2 upsized bowls of 짜장면 (twice of $12++ top up $2++) and a small serving of 탕수육 ($26++). First time eating 탕수육, and it tasted similar yet not-so-familiar to our Chinese 咕嚕肉. Theirs has lesser of the tomato sweetness and more of vinegar kind of sour. Each has its pros la, so shan't compare it further. As for the 짜장면, *shouting omo omo omo jinja 맛있어요 inside heart*! Compared to 동방홍, I find this one a tad sweeter and not so salty. Perhaps even a healthier feel to it! Keke, very fulfilling dinner! Oh yes!

*Towards the end, there was a couple from China and the ahjumma doesn't know how to explain to them in mandarin. So me and HH went to help, only to realise that the shop doesn't sell the cold noodles which the couple wanted. But actually there is a difference between a Korean and Chinese-Korean restaurant in the food they serve. A Korean restaurant would never sell 짜장면 which the Chinese-Koreans do, given the status of 짜장면. So perhaps this 冷麵 is the opposite of 짜장면 such that it couldn't be found in the Chinese-Korean restaurant lo.

The ahjumma who looked a bit like 金銀姬 service quite good, even lend us scissors to cut the noodles into portions so easier to share. Aigoo, she even pop up once in while to check on us and asked if the food is nice. Aigoo... Of course they were!

Damage: $15.80 (total $63.56)

As it was rather early (think around 8 pm, finsihed dinner at 7.40 pm), went Madame Patisserie for some cakes as desserts!

Halfway through, HH talked about one super common scene in Korean dramas - it's the pose the characters do when they received a very shocking news, i.e. putting their hands behind their necks, as if will have headache or whatnot. HH you like this pose? Haha!

Nicholas took out his instax camera to take some polaroids. Gave one polaroid photo to each of us. Had Patisserie matcha with red bean cake ($8++) and lemon meringue ($4.50++). That lemon meringue was nice, first time trying out the teardrop cream! Thought it would be a bit sticky/hard kind since the shape has to 'stand' upright. But it turned out to be soft and very creamy kind! Nice... Also, the matcha cake was nice too! *missing my tsujiri $12 sunrise/sunset ice kacang le* Keke...

Lemon meringue ($4.50++)

Matcha with red bean cake ($8++)

Damage: $3.80 (total $14.70)

The shop was almost empty except for the 4 of us sitting inside chilling and chatting. Towards the end, revealed that I got job offer to Nicholas and HH. Heng HH got no reaction upon hearing, he kept playing phone =.= *Really want to throw that phone away as it's kinda rude to play games on phone while others are talking to each other, messaging a bit and calling is fine...* That's the end of the day~
