Was surfing forums as usual, then happened to come across this thread on snapshots on interesting car plate numbers. Note that all plate numbers are Malaysian ones. Sadly, Singapore plate numbers can't just be as creative as what I found here. Maybe because of the random alphabet behind?

My computer - HP Pavilion 9734 Desktop

I know this has delayed for so long, for almost a month. LOL
This is my computer, bought in Nov 2000 for $2488. Very old and very trustworthy.

Here's the official specifications:

Chipset: Via Apollo Pro 133A
Processor: 933 MHz Intel Pentium (R) III processor with MMX (TM) technology
RAM: 128MB 133MHz SDRAM
Hard drive: 40 GB @ 7200rpm (I forgot is Maxtor or IBM liao)
CD-RW: LG 8x4x32x drive
Diskette drive: Mitsumi 3.5" 1.44MB diskette drive
Video: Nvidia TNT2 Pro AGP 4x 32MB card
Network card: 10/100Base-T
Modem: 56Kbps
Operating system: Microsoft Windows ME
Monitor: HP 17" CRT monitor
Speakers: HP/Polk Audio E stereo speakers

Peripheral changes
After the original CRT monitor and the original keyboard spoiled. I went on to use the longitech keyboard (forgot bought how much le) and a Samsung 17" CRT monitor (bought for $40).

Then, I moved on to use a used Compaq keyboard (I found it at the void deck, people throw it away). I feel that this keyboard is better than the longitech one, but still I find the HP original keyboard the best. The feeling was just nice.

Next, the Samsung CRT monitor and the speakers were brought back to Malaysia. I then bought a LG 19" widescreen monitor ($319, L194WT), a set of Altec Lansing 2.1 system speakers ($78, VS2421) and a cheap mouse ($10, the original mouse also spoiled). The original HP speakers sounded bad and they don't have hardware volume control. =.= But they didn't spoil.

Hardware changes
Inside the CPU, there were some changes as well. I don't know if the original harddisk had broken down. But I feel that it's still the same original harddisk lor. Then I upgraded the graphics card to Nvidia TNT2 Pro AGP 4x 64MB one, a 32MB more. Haha! Then I also added a sound card in - a used Philips PSC703 sound card ($15). RAM wise, I add in 256MB more, to make up a total of 384MB memory.

Normal usage
Startup takes at least 7-10 mins. The computer is very quiet, unlike other self-built computers in my house.

It's ok if you just run 2-3 programs at any one time. For me, I'd just open WMP, Firefox and MSN. However, it lags if you decide to run more than 3 programs. Desktop is kept as clean as possible, i.e. very few icons. Note that this computer runs on XP, so it consumes more memory than Win ME.

Playing games is a no-no, online games will lag also. That's why I can't keep up with my fellow friends. They are playing Maple, WoW, DOTA, Diablo 2 (this one not sure)... Even Viwawa also lags. So Bay, if you're reading this para right now, please don't flame me hor.

That's why I buy PSP to make up this aspect.

If install program, it can take at least 10-15 mins. Super slow. =.=

Future
Don't plan to zhng anymore to my computer from now onwards, just wait for it to die off. Then I'll just buy a completely new CPU... The keyboard, monitor, speakers and mouse can keep.

Don't know whether to buy a laptop or not because I'll be studying university in year 2009. Like monkey see, monkey do... I see how my friends they all lor. And also I wait for news from the school if they want to make laptop a compulsory learning item. Then I'll decide whether to buy or not.

Conclusion
Other than the CPU, all its working partners couldn't take up the stress and broke down one after another. My computer products not 100% from China. The CPU was made in Singapore, QC assured. The monitor was made in Thailand, keyboard/mouse was made in China. They spoiled.

Even the CD-RW drive didn't spoil and it's made in Korea. It's a rare for CD drive as I can see all CD drives are made in China, Indonesia or Philippines.

My 2 other Samsung CD drives, 1 made in Phlippines and Indonesia. One of them rosak. Then the other Sony CD-RW drive was made in China. The pioneer DVD-RW drive also made in China. So far, only Samsung gave problems. Sony has a slight problem of being too sensitive, can't read some CDs. No problem with my LG drive though.

The keyboard was made in Malaysia. Oh my, I now realised that those supposed to be China made were not China made. Hope they don't disappoint me...

My first 16KM run

Today had a 'good' run at East Coast Park.

All I can see is people in black shirts. Think they make up 80-90% of the group of people.

Starting of the 16km run was good. However after I went back, passing the starting point, to go to the opposite side of the East Coast Park. I had stomach stitch. No choice, but to slow down and even walked! Overtook Jordan, Hock Long and Yong Sheng. But the latter didn't overtake me because his legs kena what la~ LOL

But in the end, Jordan and Hock Long overtook me... =.=

Finished the run with timing 1hr 36mins and received a medal. LOL~ If not for the stitch, think could have gotten 15 mins faster.

Peng Guan, who will take part in the competition category in the upcoming AHM, came in 1hr 11min. Congrats to him.

Funny thing is I know I'm unfit, yet I outran those who already pass the IPPT test. No logic right?

Took half day and went out with Jordan, Peng Guan and Yong Sheng. Decided to went K. Jordan had a good lobang la! Had laksa at nearby eatery stall, aka Katong laksa la! Small bowl cost me $3 =.= After that went to Cold Storage to buy tidbits and drinks and a bottle of vodka. The vodka tasted like medicine, I forgot what illness the medicine heals, but is in red colour de. =.= 8% alcohol won't make me drunk la!

No advertising intended. It was called Teo Heng Karaoke Music Centre @ Katong Shopping Centre.

We opt for the small room, it has the cheapest deal. Yah, the room was super small. =.= Hardly squeeze in 4 of us. =.= The sound system was good, navigation was easy, songs were up to date.
Sang from 1pm to 5pm. 4 hours cost us $32. $8 each. But the catch is no drinks and/or tidbits provided. This one is not a problem, can be easily settled by ourselves la.

Overall not too bad la. LOL

Also, the 3 of them recommend this Japanese restaurant to me. It was called Hanabi Japanese restaurant. Heard that it serves buffet, and each pax can expect to pay at least $30. But they say the food was nice. Don't know about it tho. Waiting for people to being me there. Haha!

And Jordan corrected my Malaysian accent. I don't know to believe him or not. I pronounced 虾面 as xia2 mian4. But Jordan seemed to disagree, saying that it should be pronounced as xia1 mian4 and even wanted me to repeat after him. =.= Har... I have been pronouncing it as xia2 mian4 since I was small... LOL

17/7/2008 Red Cliff 赤壁

Choo suggested to have a movie outing on a Saturday because he works in the weekdays.

List of people who attended the outing:

4. Jia Yun

Choo actually wanted to come, but I don't know if I told him the wrong timing or he remembered the wrong timing liao, so he didn't turn up. But cannot give him the title of Mr Aeroplane by Bay la!

Reached Plaza Singapura to play Initial D4 with Edwin and Jia Yun. First timer here. I chose Honda S2000, hope it's a good car. 6-speed manual leh, though I hope it has the Volkswagen DSG gearbox. Edwin and Jia Yun are so pro in those mountain roads with numerous wide and sharp and even u-turns. Even Ang plays this. =.=

Verdict: I find the steering wheel super light, not very real though. Fortunately, this can be rectified through the settings menu. Graphics rendering is considered good liao, but too fake on the car headlamp lighting and smoke part. Just too fake. The licence card is cool though.

Had KFC with Edwin and Jia Yun prior to the Initial D4 battle. Just then I knew that the tickets of the abovementioned movie was selling fast. Only left those front rows, most timings are full house liao, however you can watch after 12am. I called Bay to check out the timing of other cinemas, such as Eng Wah @ Suntec, Cathay @ Cineleisure, GV @ Marina Square etc. through online. I thought he was very IT-savvy, but the truth was he lousy la~ Still need to ask us how to go to websai... OMG LOL

In the end, we bought 5.10pm timing with the seats along the 2nd row from the front. Strained our necks. LOL... But really the threatre was full house.


Here comes the movie review.

I'm not a fan of the three kingdoms. However, I had read articles about it, so I know what really happened.

This movie depicts the story of the war at the 'red cliff'. The story was alright, though some changes were made. In the end, the movie is a bit different from the original novel itself. What differences? Head over to Wikipedia to find out ba.

I found 林志玲 was super extra in the show. 花瓶 indeed. Heard that she plays an important role in part 2. And why must there a 床戏 part in the show?! However, that part was cut before being shown in our cinemas. LOL

Regarding to the battles themselves, I liked the 八卦阵 the best. A lot of stunts (like the rope or you can call it leash). I really liked it when 曹操's army was kena caught by the 刘备/孙权's armies. LOL

Some parts, though they are small details, are considered to be 印象深刻. For example,
“我需要冷静” I think this is supposed to be a cold joke. 冷风吹过……
“略懂” Everything 诸葛亮 also know. In modern days, we have Jacky Wu.

And when the movie is at the climax...

所以这整部电影除了Joker讲的对白外，其他的我完全听不懂，要依赖字幕
害我错过细节，跟不上故事

难怪那么眼熟
还有那个会计师是新加坡人来的，Kelefei到~好过陈冠希啦，才出场3-4秒钟=.=

故事
故事蛮简单的。为了打击日趋严重的罪案以维持0罪案的X城市，蝙蝠侠千方百计要擒拿罪犯。可是越是要打击他们，他们就越反抗。所以也造就更多罪案的发生，出发点不是为了钱，而是蝙蝠侠。这时，Joker（小丑）就登场誓言要把整个城市颠倒过来，来个正邪之战。主要是探讨人性善恶两面，看看好人如何在极端的情况下是怎样违背自己的形象走上歧途。也看看被大家断定的坏人其实也是有善良一面。

打斗/对峙场面
1. 停车场：很烂下，结果蝙蝠车登场好像也只是无用武之地

2. 警车罗厘追逐：拍到不错，小丑开大炮，果然有火爆的感觉。声音的震撼就是不错啊！之后蝙蝠车严损，分解成蝙蝠机车，这边我觉得很型。最后蝙蝠侠轻松把托格罗厘翻起来，这边我觉得很有‘哗’的感觉

3. 警局盘问：这边恐怖下，那个人肚子里面塞着手机+炸弹，不懂小丑如何办到。很以外蝙蝠侠在盘问室里面，连小丑都没料到啦！不过小丑最拿手就是口舌之战，把一个人弄到不耐烦。他发癫，讲做莫喜欢用刀不用抢，原因是可以看到对方死前被折腾的一幕。那个jaga都给他吓到漏尿啦~

4. 调虎离山之计：小丑都几pannai下……把巴士上的人都当成人质，一个个化妆成小丑，一心想骗突击队。好才蝙蝠侠没有杀掉他们。不过后来自己人跟自己人打架，画面很快闪，都不懂在打什么鬼？

5. 医院：这个情节既好笑又恐怖下。小丑穿上护士制服，加上走路外八形，好笑！然后又弄一下头发，够骚！但是那个2face很恐怖，不懂他们怎么画到酱的？最后炸掉医院那一幕，傻傻的表情实在是够搞笑！

经典画面
1. 好人船/坏人船：这个应该很经典，告诉我们不要以貌取人。不是讲那个人是好人就不一定是坏人，反过来，坏人非坏人。像那个好人一心想解决掉两船案，在他眼里‘坏人就是坏人，所以他们应该在这个世界上消失’。但他又很自私，他不想背负所有谴责跟责任。另一方面，坏人斟酌许久，最后把机关抛出窗外，证明坏人也是有善良的一面。每个人只要扮演小小部分，都能成为英雄。

2. ‘魔术’表演：小丑声称能把铅笔弄不见，原来直接把铅笔扎在头上，这一幕很恐怖。

3. 讲述疤痕由来：这个好笑，至少我笑了。虽然两回都讲不一样的东西，算料啦！反正小丑都是癫癫的，情有可原。

One after another, he's leaving the sickening place.
This time round, it's Bay's turn.

First knew him because I found him very funny (likes to say cold jokes and 欠扁问答题), creative (read his blog and you'll know liao).

He's also a standard S.H.E fan. But I can't get to see his collection of S.H.E related merchandise, news article, videos, photos, posters, etc. And most importantly, he's not angmoh 派, this makes communication with him super easy. My English cannot make it de la.

He appears that he's innocent and have a super clean mind. But the truth is the opposite. LOL~

He asked me to stay in with him during his very last 2-day tour at Kindergarten, which I did. Bay, now you see who's your super good friend liao hor? I'm the only person to stay in with you during your last tour lei... Treat me a meal leh!

He's still as crazy as ever when he keep souring "me and husband" throughout the whole day whenever I get to see him. Don't know why he started this, I almost going berserk, cant take it liao... =.= Especially when he sang 你是风儿我是沙, super high sia. Wahaha!

What Choo said is quite true. He doesn't have the 富贵命. Firstly, he rejected to come to my birthday treat on 23 June. Reason was not many people went. Then, there was another similar outing on the 4th July, he can't go as well. Reason was he plucked his wisdom tooth. Haiz!

Then he can't enjoy my ride. Always so coincidentally let what he said 'bed buddy/lao gong' (whatever sh*t la) to take my ride, then after that suan me because bla bla bla (you know the reason la). Bay, you just don't have the privilege la! Haha!

I like his lyrics editing skills, more and more skilful liao. Now the lyrics flow more smoothly and they rhyme too!

A bit side track...
I broke my own personal record of my bowling score! Currently, the best score is 256 with all strikes with 5th and 6th round w/o the strikes. Previously, it was 216. My target is to hit 300 before I leave that sickening place.

Yin Boon's Birthday

Firstly, Happy Birthday to Yin Boon! 20 years old le... Starts with a 2 on our ages liao. LOL

Went over to YB's place at 4pm, saw ZL and YB playing Maple... OMG, that game again?!?! So fun to play meh?

After that, went to JP to collect the birthday cake. It's an oreo cheese cake. YB don't like the colour of the words 'Happy Birthday' on the cake, she found it looked like 寿饼. Didn't know that the bakery has the tendency to cut up the cake before hand?! I feel it's better to cut on our own lor.

1.6kg cake for $47. That's expensive. But well, it's not from neighbourhood bakery. Cant expect much.

After which, we had dinner in the evening. The beehoon + curry was nice, but somehow the taste of black soy sauce had overwhelmed the taste of curry. Ngor Hiang was handmade which was not bad. Also the chicken wings and the 烤三层肉 were nice as well. Just that the BBQed prawns were not very fresh with the meat sticking to the sticks and shells. A bit disappointed that there's no wanton.

Never mind, I'll wait for 27 Sept to come. Haha...

After the dinner, we started the game of bluff. 6 persons playing 2 decks of poker cards. It's very difficult to play with each deck of cards having different colours on the back. Have to check first before you put the cards down. lol Well, I was not good at bluffing, naturally I was not the winner.

After that, Sharon didn't really like the game, kept 念经 that she's very lousy at this bla bla bla, so we changed to Big 2. This time round, I won a bit out of the numerous rounds. I realised that whenever I won, other players will have quite a lot on their hands, not those nearly nearly PK waiting to win like that. Is it because of my strategy? Or is it because the cards were too good liao? I don't know.

2 decks cards were used again. But because there were 6 people playing, 2 persons will get 18 cards instead of 17. Sway unless you can form good combinations. Rules changed a bit, with 五张一样点数 can be put as the biggest combination out of the 5 cards. And you can't put the same card (either 1 or 2 cards) consecutively. For example, if the player has put 一张黑桃2, you can't put 黑桃2 already.

Then YB's sis de 'bro' came to play along. He was quite pro. With a round he left me and YB having 14 cards! Sibei zai!!

I found out that I can't remember the flowers in English. What spade, club, heart and last one I don't know... I only know them in Chinese term - 黑桃、红心、梅花、方块. What a chinese person I am la!

Cake cutting session = sing song + photo taking + make a wish = was done around 10.15pm. Overall, the cake was alright la... There was a very heavy taste of cheese. But lucky got oreo to save me up from the cheese attack. Wahaha!!!

Then, me and Sharon stayed overnight at YB's room. We chatted lots of things, with the attention on me la! They asked me about the ideal girl I wish to have. Actually, to tell the truth, seems like I have a high standard on the 对方. LOL~ Hope I can find her one day ba.

Slept around 3am, I just knocked out suddenly, like I disrupted the conversation. LOL... Then sorry for the 磨牙 incident, I guessed I slept too soundly liao, that's why I 磨牙. I know that I have this habit, but I can't stop it. 贵人请指点吧！

Woke up around 9 in the morning. Was woken up by YB. But in fact, I already woke up, but I see no one has waken up so I just 赖床 lor. Haha... Was surfing 土豆网. Somehow I found that I just cannot load videos out of it.

Then I showed YB the car my uncle is driving now. Coz she said she wanted a car very suited for female drivers and it must be fuel efficient. So I thought Honda Fit is very suitable for her. Luckily, she fell in love with it after the first impression. LOL... Pink, blue, yellow and white are all nice colours for YB. Hope you can psycho your dad to buy you one ba! Haha!

This year marks the 10th anniversary of me and YB friendship. I didn't forget this and promised that I would treat her a very nice meal. Haha... And also your birthday treat, remember to remind me hor. Wahaha~

Next year will be Chee Chuan's turn. And 3 years later will be Sharon's turn (Actually a lot of people la... all met in sec 1 mah). Hohoho...

I know my English is very weak. Nevertheless, I tried to come up one essay after another and each time I receive back the marked essay, I always look at the artistic work done by my GP tutor. Almost the same as the picture above. It's always nice to see what my tutor has to comment on my essay. Haha!

Most of the times, I always get a few marks above the passing 50%. Heng ah... But only got a C6 for A Level... Wonder how the above essay fares. =.=

But, even though my English fails, my logic is always there. I'm a very logical person. I won't link super unrelated things together as what the person wrote this essay: terrorists = robin hood??! LOL...

East Coast Park Run

Went back to camp to take my belongings which I forgot to take when I left camp yesterday morning.

Saw Nicky, Leon and Yun Zhen. They stayed in, waiting for 2nd boss to bring them to East Coast Park this morning.

This super cheeky Nicky saw me wanting to leave the place liao, went to raise up the front wiper. I then got off the car to put down the wiper. At this time, Nicky went in the car and locked up the doors and wanted to drive away. Heng ah, I stood in front of car so that he can't run over me.

What a Grand Theft Auto la~ But Kindergarten version. Haha...

Woke up pretty early today @ 6am. Left home at around 6.35am, picked up Edwin at Jurong East and off we went to East Coast Park!

The following people went for the run:
1. Boss
2. Sgt
3. Me
4. Edwin
5. Cheung Jie
6. Yun Zhen
7. SK
8. Nicky
9. Leon

When we arrived there, already saw 4078 and 4438 there liao. But we were not late lo. Not many people went for the run and I saw AETC also went there for run. The run was actually not bad la, better than running inside camp.

Saw Jarell from my BMT platoon. Called out to him but he didn't respond. Externally, I think he has slimmed down a little bit. Internally, I don't know if he can be much more independent, take care of himself and don't let the spoilt character ruin him.

After the run, sgt suggested to go for the "BIG PRAWN NOODLES". Edwin said he agar-agar knew the route there. So I added on said I just follow the cars lor. Somewhere in the conversation, boss told me I'm the one to lead the group since I suggested the eatery. What the hell la! I said I don't know that place well, how am I supposed to lead the group leh?

But I can lead if we're in Malaysia. I'm hoping to have a ORD Malaysia trip nia. If $ permits, I also want an overseas trip. Just for my batch only. How good it is to go out and have fun with your friends.

Never mind, in the end, Edwin took sgt's car - this car will lead the way to the prawn noodles eatery. Then SK, Nicky and Leon took boss's car, that car somehow is like a forbidden place to me lol... Last but not least, Yun Zhen and Cheung Jie took my car.

I knew that Cheung Jie had his father sent him to East Coast Park so bo bian he has to take my car. Yun Zhen lei? He said he don't like the cigarette smell on the car when the drivers smoke. No link leh, there's no cigarette smell on boss's car lor. Also the same for sgt's car. Don't want sit with SK want to sit in my car. Sometimes I think that what Bay said was quite true. Buddy indeed...

Throughout the journey, the two cars performed stunts. Overtaking each other, didn't signal to intent a purpose and lastly change lane at the very last resort near the traffic light. You think F1 race meh?? Still got my auto transmission car lei!

Then suddenly Nicky called saying that we should go to Adam Road there for makan. People onboard my car said anything de, though Yun Zhen suggested the three of us just go Bukit Timah, never mind about others. LOL... But after that, I don't know what happened, but we went back to Kallang again! Keep making rounds and rounds around the Kallang/Aljunied area. Waste petrol nia...

At last, we beh tahan liao, finally stopped at some hostel place and ordered our brunch. I had roasted chicken rice ($2.50). Not too bad, but the soup was plain. The market/hawker centre nearby my house still selling chicken rice for $2 la.

After which, we all head back to camp. My car was the last to arrive. Who asked them to speed? I'm a law-abiding person lor! Wahaha... Did some car washing as the car was super dirty after the morning rain.

Yun Zhen blanja me one super big curry puff. Think he's the first to do in return for giving people a lift around Singapore. Not saying others bad hearted la... Just to clarify, I won't expect food in return. I just want my working relationship or friendship with everybody is as good as possible. What if in the future I need help then nobody help me liao. Thanks anyway! Waiting for you to drive the Wish leh...

Later in the late afternoon went down to mess for cohesion. Simi sai~~ July liao still want to celebrate my birdday. Anyway, it's just another free food session. I didn't even get to eat the small pathetic cake lor. Haiz... Can't expect much from FOC things. Just before we went off, Nicky got the balls to speak up to the big big boss about the working environment we had. It's time to do something about it liao lor.

Ai seh, should give an award to him lar!

Hellboy 2

Today went out to have a Hellboy movie outing with the following people:

Thanks to uncle for lending the car. If not, I don't want to be drenched when coming back.

PS carpark is super 'cunning'. The first time I entered the car park, I didn't go up to the top levels as I thought there will be ramps for you to go up. But it was a set up! As I went to the end of the carpark level, there is only downramp for me to proceed. So I proceeded lor, thinking the carpark was a basement carpark.

To my horror, as I moved on to the 2nd ramp, I was going out of the carpark! Luckily, there was a grace period of 10 minutes so long as you exit the car park within 10 minutes, you will not be charged of any fees.

Never mind, I went back to the car park again... (Actually a lot of drivers kena tricked by the car park design) This time round I went up to Deck 4. But also, to my horror, I ended up exiting the car park! There were no vacancies around, so I had to go down ramp again...

The third time, I told myself, just go up to the highest level and start going down looking for a vacant lot. Unsurprisingly, there were a lot of parking lots to choose from at the highest level. I just parked my car at level 6 lor.

$6.75 parking charges + $1.50 ERP = $8.25

Had lunch at Carl Jr's. This time round I knew to use the SAFRA card to get 10% off the price. Hehe. Had Chicken Club set. $10.35 after discount. Not too bad.

After that we walked to The Cathay House to watch Hellboy.

At first, I thought it was a comedy film. But it's not. It's a war between some super sci-fi characters and those ancient kings. Nothing to rave about and Edmund fell asleep somewhere through the movie and had to be waken up by Kenny. LOL

After the movie, Bay suggested to go Mind's Cafe to have some high tea + games. It was the first time I visited the cafe. The cafe had an interesting concept to it, play games among your peers. I find it quite interactive and it allows you to socialise to make more friends. Price was very affordable partly because Wei Long is a member. We only enjoyed 2 hours out of it because of the time constraint. The package allowed us to play for 4 hours with free flow drinks.

The games we played were:

Snorta: I knew I just kena occasionally. Later in the round when I got more familiar with the names and game rules, I kept winning over the opponent. Haha~ Easy game with those who got photographic memory. Edmund won the first round and Geraint won the second round.

First Hand: This one as mentioned in Bay's blog, he kept losing. Wahaha~ Obviously when you can't pose with your hands as shown in the pictures properly, you lost automatically. Wei Long was super good at this. Guys, beware of him!

Ugly Doll: This one Geraint was pro at it. As soon as he saw three of a kind, he shouted "monosodium glutamate" as the codeword and slamed his hands on two of the cards. I got 10 cards at the end. Not too bad liao la! Poor Bay only got 1 card. Again, he lost. Wahaha~ Bay, you were just too lousy la! To think you actually introduced us this cafe. Kenny was super high on this and his scream was like killing the chicken.

Taboo: I seriously had problems expressing and hinting the answer out! How I wished I could play the game speaking mandarin. LOL~ But guessing wise was not too bad. Again Geraint was very good at guessing. Think because me, Edwin and Bay were those Chinese type, no wonder we lost la!

Unexpected

This person is the most afraid of all times. Everybody is afraid of him. He's like a bomb, you never know when it explodes. Even fierce teachers in school were not so bad. Call him XXX.

Recently chatted with XXX. Eh, I realised that he's not that terrifying after all. And he made fun out of our conversation by saying a self-created joke. 废到…… Eh, but not too bad leh.

After which, he offered me ride which I have never expect from him at all.
Along the way, we chatted again. Felt awkward to chat with someone who is so much superior to you. And it's first time to sit in a nice car.

是不是因为这样，以后我一定要交出什么东西出来回馈？

I got to know him better.

He got to know me better too.

Isn't it 知己知彼，百战百胜？

话说在工作室内张贴这部电影的海报
刚开始它几不起眼酱
后来，渐渐发现到它的存在 =.=
原来是关于狗的电影！

酱巧，这跟我现在的情节是一样的咯！
觉得应该去看一看
跟Edwin商量一下
就定在周三去看

重点来了
这部电影其实描述这10年来，主人与狗走过的风风雨雨，直到爱犬奄奄一息的那一刻
一个很简单的故事，没有故弄玄虚，走温馨路线
故事虽讲述主人与爱犬的关系，也牵连到亲情
例如若多数时间都在外头工作，忽略了家人，一定带来负面影响（从妈妈得癌症，爸爸竟不知即可看出）
少了关怀，多了一份冷漠与寂寞

显然，妈妈很想找个替代品
这个替代品就是狗
临终前，妈妈还交待女儿（女主角）要好好地照顾狗
她念出10个跟狗的诺言出来，要女儿去遵守它

狗狗也非每时每刻都出现在银幕上
故事必须交待主人是怎么在没有狗的情况下（由于主人是兽医，须到外地工作），慢慢淡忘在家守着她回来的爱犬

最后
女主角得知消息后，第一时间赶回家
看见狗狗躺在地上，连起身的力气都没有
她紧张料

之后她念出10个诺言出来
念完第10个后，狗就这样走了
她哭料
是后悔没有实现那10个约定吗？还是舍不得狗离开？
这一幕是真的感人
坐我们后面一整排女生边看边哭
而我们是强忍泪水，不禁被主角们打动

简单的电影也不忘一些小细节
连主角从小到大的改变
我觉得导演做得不错
不然就觉得好像少了什么东西酱

我觉得那些对小动物有深仇大恨，或者是看不起他们的
更惨的是那些‘建筑快乐在别人的痛苦上’的傻佬
（不好提名出来，不然可以拿奖料）
更是应该去看，它能感化你们的

至少我看了，又有一份对狗的理解

In short...
Has been a long time since I last update my blog.
Very lazy to write posts lei...
Anyway, the movie report is out!

The poster of the movie was put up at the workroom long time ago.
But I didn't pay attention to it.
Slowly, I began to note its existence. =.=
So it's a movie about dog!

It's very related to what I am now.
So I thought that should give it a run.
After discussed with Edwin, we decided to go for it on Wednesday.

The namelist:
1. Me
2. Edwin
3. Bay
4. Geraint
5. Wei Long
6. Cheung Jie (Only went for the buffet)
7. Nicky

Edwin suggested Japanese buffet after the IPPT.
What a good Japanese buffet!
And it seemed Bay not very like Japanese food after all, I think it's the raw food that is the culprit.
Spent $24.60 on the buffet. Ex~

This paragraph is dedicated to our late king - Nicky!
Initially, he was told to meet us at 1.20pm.
I don't know if he got understanding problem or he remembered the place wrongly.
He ran to the wrong place!
Too bad when he arrived at the restaurant, we're almost finished with our meal. LOL
There isn't a time when he is punctual, unless you're willing to give him a lift. =.=

Here comes the report!
The movie actually depicts the life of the dog with it's owner, ups and downs until it had its last breath.
A very simple plot, without surprises and twists.
Although it tells the relationship between owner and dog, it also shows how family relationship can be vulnerable also.
E.g. family can get neglected by you if you work most of the time outside. (Can be seen from father being unknown after his wife got cancer)

Obviously, the 10 promises that the mother came up is to let the daugther take a very good care after the dog as the dog is going to be her replacement after the mother is gone.

Of course, the screen doesn't show the dog 100% all the time.
The story has to tell how the owner sometimes neglect the dog due to other commitments. (E.g. the female lead is a vet, she had to work somewhere else)

Lastly, after gotten the bad news, the female lead rushes home. After all, she still loves her dog a lot.
When she sees that the dog doesn't have energy to get up.
She panicked.

Then she read out the 10 promises.
After the last promise, the dog left this world.
She cried.
Is it because she is regretful of didn't carry out all the promises? Or she just simply can't bear with the dog?
This scene is super touching.
The row of girls behind us were sobbing as they watched on.
And we hold back the tears, 'cause we were also got touched by the leads.

Small details were not lackful in this simple movie.
Even the transition from the small girl/boy to grown ups.
I think the director deserves some credits for these small details.
Otherwise, I would find something is lacking from this movie.

I feel that those who has big wars on these small animals or those who look down on these small animals
Or worse still, those who 'build happiness on other's pains' should go for this movie.
(Don't want to nominate anybody, lest they will be winning awards liao)
The movie will moved you a lot.

At least I got a better understanding for dogs after watching this show.
