Last minute preparation for CNY

Afternoon went collect the photos, then went Daiso. To my horror, the photo frames there almost all for 4R. The 5R only got portrait and curved one! Aigoo, in the end bought $6.90 one from Popular... But looks nice with the golden with circular pattern border leh~

Then evening went PG house to pass the Thailand snacks to him. Called Nicholas and had a very hearty talk. The conversation between PG and him was super bx... What '娘娘不能被打入冷宮,冷宮裝不下'

拜託!

And now I hadn't pack anything yet. Cham!

Zapalang post

As the date draws near to CNY, I realised I still got convocation photos which need to be printed out to bring to my grandparents. Therefore, sent some of them to be printed at nearby so-called photograph shop, 3 on 4R, 1 on 5R. Unfortunately couldn't be ready by today. The earliest is 2 pm tomorrow which means I could not take uncle's car back Malaysia tomorrow morning le.

After that, visited Sheng Siong and see what products were on sale there. Bought 10 pepero boxes @ 5 for $2.95. Song song gao jurong ds~

Saw this joke on forum:

Took me a while to understand it. I'm not a very chemistry person. LOL~

Then in the afternoon Bay sent this in:

Last train to China on the PSA display?! What a joke!~

Updates on Grace, the abandoned Husky:

Video posted on 25 Jan

That dog is too skinny! But at least it's good to see that it's enjoying itself breathing some fresh air and walking on the grass outside the clinic. :)

27 Jan:
'Grace has been diagnosed with Chronic Renal Failure not Disease.'

I'm not sure is it a very serious illness. It doesn't seem that it's curable by any case and looks genetic. 遺傳性?Grace needs to be on medication for the rest of her life because the kidneys had failed, so need to replace and maintain the fluid or mineral levels through medication means manually. Not sure about this.

Other than this, the dog is fine! Very good! :D

Caption of this picture reads: Grace after her walk and resting while listening to the chitchat in the clinic. When she went back to her resting area, she ate her dinner deliciously.

Very delighted to know that the dog is being taken care of. Hopefully, someone, who would be kind and caring enough, adopts her.

More CNY shopping (Very sway yet very yang)

Today continue CNY shopping as I didn't buy anything during the previous outing with Jordan and Nicholas yet I need to get a pair of pants. After a few years without buying new long pants, it's time to buy a new one lo. Last year, it was the neon yellow shorts from Uniqlo.

Left house around 2 plus to take bus 334 to Jem, hoping that Uniqlo has the jeans with my size. *Nicholas exclaimed that it's amazing that I could remember so much stuff when writing blog post. Thanks~ I have the help of pen and paper so that I could easily jot down what was mentioned during conversations, what food we ordered, what things we do. Usually I tend to forget after a while given that now so many events taking place in a day.* Took a stroll at Westgate first, since I didn't really shop above the ground. LOL... Those shops that I usually interested are located at basement one.

Happened to see this store called 'Global Work'. It's a Japanese brand which established its existence in SG just recently and the shop at Westgate is the first one in SG lo. Saw khaki pants selling for $49.90 TBH it looked pretty decent and most importantly, it's not some japalang brand selling for $59 or even $60+ at Far East wor. At least this one is from quite reputable brand...

But there is only one pair on display and is XL side baituo!!!

So didn't buy in the end, coz I don't want to spend so much. But will KIV once I got salary then I will really consider buying that.

Sag point 1:
Moving on to Jem, saw that there isn't any size 32 for the pair of jeans I've set my eyes on. Called for assistance and they said NO MORE SIZE 32 AVAILABLE AT THIS OUTLET. Was told that the nearest outlets are Causeway Point and VivoCity. OMG, was it so popular? What if Causeway Point or VivoCity also doesn't have the stuff I wanted?

Under these circumstances, I thought going to town was the best option liao - at least if the Suntec City don't have, can walk to the next one at Plaza Sing, 313 and finally Ion. VivoCity is a bit off the route liao lo.

Luckily, there were ample stock, without any hestitation I took one and tried out along with one red polo shirt and turquoise T-shirt. The jeans a bit long so I need some alteration - FOC one! The T-shirt a bit bx as it will expose the belly I have. So in the end I settled for the maroon polo shirt and one white airism T-shirt to act as the inner shirt ds!

Damage: $64.70

So I've spent $102.50 on CNY clothes (5 items). 很洋!

Sag point 2:
Upon payment at cashier, I was told that the collection time would be 8.15 pm! WTH!!!! At that moment, it was only 5 pm and I don't see a lot of people there leh, in fact the whole shop was almost deserted. Therefore I would expect it should be done within 1 hour. Even if they say 7 pm also not that shocking to hear...

Got the option to go home first, then come down the next day again to collect but I just don't want to spend money and time travel here and there. So I decided to wait till time's up. With the spare time to kill, I began to tour around marina area. Firstly, I went to Muji to check out the food stuff there. Saggy, they no more selling the cakes that I xyy de. Next, noticed some construction is going on now just outside of Marina Square. My impression of Marina Square had been fixed since 2007 and now they are changing the looks o of it. Haiz...

Took a few pictures of the CBD area and MBS with the phone. Actually I haven't been taking the phone to outdoor and snap photos with it, so I'm not sure how good is the camera during daytime. The result was that the camera is indeed excellent at taking photos during daytime.

Then walked over to the floating platform along the Singapore River. Saw they were preparing the CNY light displays at the platform. Then there was this big big big 財神爺 standing quite tall...

Sag point 3:
Just as I finished taking pictures of the stuff on the floating platform and wanted to take pictures of the 財神爺, the phone said only 5% of battery juice left! Means the camera won't work if remaining battery is < 5%. WQ saggy!

Sag point 4:
And I didn't bring mobile charger! Sag

Didn't expect to go out for so long. Now the phone needed to tahan till at least 9 pm with that remaining 5%, super saggy lor. Switching to flight mode then on it after some periods to check if there were any calls, SMSes or whatsapp messages was the only solution le.

Walked past the floating platform and reached flyer area. This was the first time I walked to the opposite side of the helix bridge, Bayfront Ave and also ECP.... Oops, it's now called Sheares Ave liao.

The wind was quite big so it didn't feel very hot and sweaty. There was a group of secondary school students preparing for Chingay(?) at the F1 grandstand which was just behind the flyer. Also, saw some people playing a new kind of sports - it looked almost like skiing on snow, but instead of a flat surface bua-ing the snowy ground, there were wheels which do the motion on the rock-hard ground instead. And the person will hold some sticks and propel them forward. Looks like holding 拐杖 to move around though. @.@

After some walking, came to Nicoll Highway. It was about 6 plus already. Then continued walking along Beach Road and go back to Suntec City. Saw a girl waiting for traffic light at the Beach Road/Rochor Road junction. She was holding onto a Korean book which I could recognise the Korean term for Singapore on its cover - so the girl was a tourist! Aigoo. It came to me that nowadays a lot of Koreans are in Singapore, either temp stay as tourists or more permanent stay as employees here or even PRs.

It was 7 pm only when I got back to Suntec City. I thought to wait for 8.15 pm was a torture to me. So went to the new Giant supermarket to see see look look. Small outlet I would say~

Yang point 1:
Went back to check out the altered jeans at 7.30 pm. Delighted when they said it was ready for collection. Maybe I could have tried my luck by coming back at 7 pm lor.

Yang point 2:
Wanted to go back by bus after extensive walking just now. Saw 97 went away. Then shortly after double decker 111 came and I was the only passenger onboard! Very yang!

Yang point 3:
The bus was very fast because nobody boarded or alighted from the bus, it even caught up with and overtook the double decker in front!!! I was shrieking out on the upper deck!

Yang point 4:
Towards Buona Vista, the previous 111 was still behind my bus.

Yang point 5:
Just before I alighted at opposite Blk 43, saw bus 185 already at the traffic light, waiting to turn right. Meaning, there was no need to wait for 185! I just kept moving back to west side ds!

The whole journey took slightly more than an hour without any entertainment using the phone. Yes, it was longer than taking MRT, but at least I got to sit down and let my legs to rest. Taking bus is really xyy ds.

*Understand that JX want to treat us after he got his first pay before CNY because he doesn't want to owe others through the CNY from snake year to horse year. But the rest not free until CNY oh~ I only not free yesterday only. Wait after CNY ba...有心就好!

JB trip: karaoke with Bay + Swensen + Lavender breads

Bay has been pestering me to k since Friday.

Has he gone crazy? Is he super addicted to karaoke? He too stressed? I don't remember him asking me to go sing with him THIS often, it's a bit too much for me le, coz I still got go k with other groups of friends. Imagine going singing with different group of friends every week, very taxing, both physcially and financially, for me.

Friday: Afternoon asked me and choo to come out sing. He happened to be working at Labrador Park there, so it's around west side le. Wasn't available until at least after dinner and Choo got to pack his luggage to go Malaysia for CNY on Saturday! WTH, so early go back for CNY le~ Aigoo... I did suggest to Bay go JB sing as it's so much cheaper and better service lor. *Actually wanting to bring him go JB long long time ago liao, only waiting for the opportunity to come.*

Saturday (yesterday): 7 early 8 early already skype me with 'JB'. Really jin crazy la he. Afternoon asked me go Teo Heng sing, so I said Junction 10 lor where it's about equidistant from both of us. Then he shifted target to Teo Heng @ Sembawang, asked me if I got car or not - wanted me to drive down there, park and sing =.= I don't want to drive there of course. At least if it's la kopi - coz it's not that long so won't feel so heartpain when paying parking fee, if there is *最近很窮啊!* - then I would want to come out. So I recommended Bay to go JB on Sun then for Sat it would be la kopi session lor, if he wants.

The decision made in the evening was to go JB on Sunday. He thought no need to alight from bus and it will go straight into JB. =.= Oh well, there is a need to alight and go past the immigrations on both sides one lo.

Left house at 8.45 am and took 198 to JE, then walked to the 160 bus stop. Earlier on, Bay asked if want to have breakfast at Woodlands with him. Rejected straight away coz really not 順路 leh.

Boarded 160 at 9.03 am without much waiting xyyds. Immediately after boarding, I saw the whatsapp msg and he said he forgot to bring passport!!!! My reaction was like this: '!!!!!!!' Told him that I already on 160 and would reach on time. Taxi was a must for him to go home, take passport and get to Woodlands Checkpoint again! Fortunately he realised it before we reached the checkpoint. 忘記帶護照,這樣也太荒唐了吧?如果出國坐飛機發生這樣的事情,會完全臭掉去的說~

While on my way to checkpoint, he kept asking sibei stupid, lame and boring questions. Really felt irritated at that point of time. He asked things like

- Should I cab there lol
- Now don't need fill the white card liao meh
- Y & Najob say one ar (refer to the previous question after I replied no need)
- There got phone signal bo

Just wanted to enjoy my lovely and peaceful Sunday and he almost ruined it...

It wasn't a long wait for us to meet and no jam on causeway. Quite yang lor~ So we were just 15 mins late. Anyway, Neway gave us exactly 3 hours to sing. So quite yang again! I picked the 西式早餐 (RM 21++) and Bay had his second breakfast - instant wanton mee (RM 18++).

Breakfast was as standard as it should. The cheese sausage was nice. The instant mee was too big for 1 person liao, I think they put 2 packets of instant mee to cook. Meanwhile, crazy karaoke session. Hehe...

Damage: RM 20 (total RM 37, after 20% member discount)

又唱又吃,好便宜喔!Bay also complimented the wireless mic system~ 聽了都洋去……

He mentioned that the worst song S.H.E ever sang is 催眠術...

After the k session, walked around the mall - it was first time visiting for Bay. *那麼巧在Pizzabox外面碰到弟!*While we were outside Levi's store at level 1, happened to see ex-camp mate Moon Kiat! At first we continued talking but 2 seconds later, 我們不約而同停下來問對方是否覺得剛經過的那個人很熟悉?And we knew who was that person! 都過了那麼久,中間也沒有聯絡,一下子跑上去打招呼很奇怪的說……

Went into Hush Puppies shop and was shocked to see their shoes are quite expensive! *幾時才能有錢買東西涅?* But must admit that they are rather comfortable to wear too. Bay commented that he used to buy the shoe pads from Scholl for his boots during his NS days. LOL~ For me, the original was good enough le, no need spend money on that.

Bay spotted the red striped shirt which he liked very much, at the Padini shop. After trying on, he condemned that the S size still a bit too big for him. In the end, he saggy didn't buy anything.

After walking one round at the mall, we settled super late lunch or, rather, early dinner at Swensen. Somehow Bay was quite attracted to Swensen even though the typical serving size is always too overwhelming for him lo. Another thing is that food there is so much cheaper than SG one. Of course it's a pull factor for Bay lol.

I had spicy aglio olio mushroom pasta (RM 15.90++) and Bay went for a healthier choice: caesar salad with breaded fish (RM 11.90++). Top up another RM 6 to get single scoop of ice cream (chocolate peanut buttercup flavoured), mushroom soup and sprite drink.

這份套餐
這回新幣才十元

賣相不錯
但好辣!

這個顏色更討喜!

The pasta was quite spicy, otherwise it gave the 'healthy' feeling of it. Not much creamy/cheesy stuff inside. On the other hand, salad looked very colourful wor.

Talked about my job seeking and whatnot. Bay was feeling freaking cold after the ice-cream. LOL~ I prefer cold than hot leh.

Damage: RM 25 (total RM 46.15)

After the dinner, went Lavender bakery to buy breads for next day. XYY I also bought extra egg tart for 'dinner' later in the evening coz ate so early! Bay bought a bread and an egg tart after I kept influencing him with that tart!

由左至右:
Red Bean Custard Cheese bun (RM 2.70)
Matcha Red Bean Mochi bun (RM 2.20)
Chicken Sausage bun (RM 2.40)
Hong Kong style 菠蘿包 (RM 2)
Chicken Ham & Cheese bun (RM 2.70)

Damage: RM 14

The breads were cheap and not bad, comparable if not better than Breadtalk. Now one floss bread $1.70 $1.80. Super expensive leh. Really, next time can buy everytime visit JB ds. 買完回家~

Went separate way where Bay wanted to try out that $2 AC7 bus. Reached SG around 4.50 pm. One of the earliest times when I come back from JB liao.

Happened to know that PG and WX were at Jem so went there to find them. They were shopping at NTUC before PG spotted me going towards them near to the frozen food corner lol.

Went to Uniqlo to show them the jeans that I've WX bought a new pair of jeans from there for CNY. Only after I came then he realised it's not really the pattern that he wanted. Aigoo, got chance to do exchange he also don't want, even he's right in the shop! SSF ds~

He also updated his phone to KitKat, upon seeing the battery stats, realised that there isn't much awake time when screen is off. Weird but felt that as long as battery life doesn't get so much worse, I'm fine with it.

After reaching home, Bay came over and exclaimed that the egg tart not bad ds. Aigoo, 我介紹的都不錯的說好不好!

Saw this news yesterday. IMO, they are super duper ridiculous! Only in SG then one can see such rules exist. Except for those reasonable ones like eating and drinking on trains and also littering, the rest are really ridiculous. And they still dare to publish out, 不笑死人才怪。 Who would throw missiles at MRT stations or on trains? What are the 'missiles' mentioned here refer to?

Entering or remaining in train when it is full - another ridiculous penalty. Given now MRT is always full on almost anytime of the day, especially during peak hours. This means anybody and everybody should be penalised?

越想越荒謬!

When I visited Korea's subway, it was heaven and earth compared to SG one. Other than the lack of escalators in some of the older stations, one could find toilets, top-up machines, rubbish bins, shops inside the paid areas. There are even mama shops on platforms! And the food and drinks are allowed on trains as there is no sign that prohibits bringing in them. At the most is no flammable stuff only.

Despite the rule, it's not as if people there are abusing the system by eating and drinking like no tomorrow or boh zheng hu in the trains. The scene is almost same as SG one just that there is no sign that's all. Stations, platforms and trains are super duper clean. Shows the culture and upbringing of citizens are important. If people could understand and there is no need for such rules in first place liao...

HK MTR is more similar to our MRT than the Korean subway. But it's still better because of the high frequency and probably free wifi on the platforms. Breakdowns not frequent too...

Really we have lots to learn from other countries.

Poor abandoned Husky + British English vs American English? + Note 3 kitkat update + Breakdown again?!

Saw a forum thread on this husky. Very disheartening after looking at the pictures and reading the captions.

The copper husky is quite cute but why abandoned by owner? She was found motionless but conscious at a void deck of a HDB in Boon Keng area on 19 Jan morning. Purposely highlighted the words motionless and conscious to show the seriousness of the situation. 垂死的掙扎…… Look at the surrounding, of all places at void deck, she laid down at the washing bay. Can imagine how dirty with those dirt, dirtied water that came to contact with the dog. :(:(:( Looked like she had nothing to continue living on and was waiting to die. The dog doesn't have to deserve all these sufferings. :( Poor thing. :(:(:(

狗狗好可憐喔 :(
不過幸好有一群愛狗人士拯救牠!
終於看到一線曙光了

Luckily got dog lovers went to rescue her and bring her to the vet. They named her as Grace. She was very lucky! :) I'm going to follow up and see what happens next.

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Grace-the-Abandoned-Husky/765756080118466

Shared this piece of news to Bay and the first comment he made was 'wtf 滅絕人性'. Very cruel hor? Then he said why I make him see such sad news. I admit I was quite indifferent to dogs, cats, etc. before I was a dog handler. But after spending one and a half years taking care of dogs, towards the end of NS, of course there would be, more or less, a tinge of 捨不得的心情 towards them. I must say I have grown a caring heart towards animals now.

現在看到動物都會有一點憐憫之心。

看到這個新聞,簡直是傷心欲哭的說。

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How many of us could properly differentiate and identify British English and American English?
Previously, I thought the differentiate centred around the spelling differences and different common words referring to the same thing. Being educated under the British English, I've tried my best to stick to it as far as possible.

But now, I learnt that the difference is far more greater than I thought. For example, cookie vs biscuit. While cookie is so common that I myself also use it often, it's American English. For British English, it's strictly biscuit.

Another epic example is fries vs chips. A lot of us would have assumed fries refers to the fried long strips of  potato and chips is something rather flattened in appearance. But the actual fact is that fries is an American English term and chips is the British English one, both referring to the famous fries we could eat at McDonald's. Then what is the term for the nacho chips in British English? It's called crisps.

After reading the whole thread, I thought the English I use is actually more American than British. Maybe it's due to the culture export of these two countries. Just movies alone, usually they are American movie and hence the English in the movie is American English.

Very interesting discovery.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Afternoon saw the KitKat 4.4.2 update is available for SG Note 3. Without any hestitation, I went to settings and tapped to see if there's really any update for my phone.

To my surprise, on the first try, indeed there is a update! Samsung has quietly roll out the update for SG region! Hehe... That's relatively fast, no device other than the Google Nexus and the Google Play Edition (S4, One, etc.)

The 424.35 MB update took 1 hour to complete. Some of the obvious changes include:

- Super fast unlock transition! I would say it's not just fast, it's 快到鬼 instantaneous, it's even faster than the already fast iOS.
- Battery indicator has changed from green/red to all-white.
- Font changes at notification page.
- Cannot write to SD card by 3rd party apps! Especially my Line Camera、美圖秀秀 and PicsArt! Developers need to update the apps baituo. No problem with stock apps writing to SD cards. Phew. For now, I have to save those edited photos to device first.
- Available ram 2.38 GB now expands to 2.71 GB, an almost 0.5 GB increase!
- Noticed there are a lot more indications for 'awake' which wasn't the case in Jelly Bean 4.3. But on the first feel, the battery life is about the same as before. Not sure if there is any real improvement to battery life. But given that no sacrifice to battery life yet significant speed improvement, it's a very good news le.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another breakdown?! Heard there's another breakdown at Redhill MRT station at around 11.10 pm, affecting greatly the west bound train. According to the report, the train door opened and closed for more than 10 times then announcement was made to request passengers alight from the train. Aigoo... PG went to Clarke Quay to XYY listen to some very 38 singers at some pubs (he mentioned something about 將心照亮), then he took 197 home. Had he chosen to take MRT instead, he would be affected by disruption ds. Just by this week, don't know how many breakdowns liao.

Chatted for 72 mins 14 secs on phone. After telling PG about Nicholas's concern which was revealed on Wednesday, PG also had similar thoughts as Nicholas ds. He said though the things aren't happening now, he clearly remembered when he was checking on 'people following' updates and then happened to see that Wiyatno liking some special-themed instagram photos. Omo omo omo eeeekkk!! Looked like everything fits into the jigsaw puzzle and slowly the big picture is coming out ds.

He maintained that even if it's true for Wiyatno, he's quite neutral with such people as long as they don't disturb his personal life.

Aigoo, shan't talk too much about it liao. Aigoo.

Meetup with Jordan and Nicholas (aka CNY clothes shopping part 2)

Following up on the post, yesterday met up with Jordan and Nicholas for 2nd part of CNY clothes shopping spree! Jordan can be my another image consultant and both of them are sensitive to fashion, so it's a good idea to pull them out to gai gai on a lovely weekday afternoon!

Yang!

Side-track a bit...
Nicholas whatsapped me on Tues that he wanted to meet me slightly earlier by 30 mins yesterday. Of course, being something unexpected, I queried him what was the matter. He said he had something to tell me after he did some observations during the JB trip on 19th. At first I was quite confused: was he going to talk something bad about me? Then he said it's about someone else. Of course I wanted to have convenience so I replied him can talk over whatsapp or phone. He insisted on meeting up in person because he felt it's better to talk in person.

Back on track...
I reached Plaza Sing exit late by 20 mins. LOL~ But I don't think Nicholas need 30 mins to do explanation. By the time I reached there, Nicholas was with his female friend. Reason? Passed something to her. Well, after hearing what Nicholas has to say about this person, from the '秘密' at IT Roo cafe to fighting (actually is playing fun) outside Maco Vintage to pushing Nicholas to WY, I do can feel a bit about it. Why 'a bit' is because this person doesn't over-exaggerate and pour his emotions on me, so I'm quite neutral about it.

Meanwhile I whatsapp Jordan asking if he's reaching Dhoby Ghaut. No reply until almost 15 mins later then he said he at Cathay.

I can't guarantee that the '噢!如果我沒有講錯,就是他!' reply from ZX is referring to the same thing Nicholas was talking about. It seemed to me that both ZX and Wiyatno know each other's existence despite me thinking it's the first time they met for the first time. But somehow I did have some suspicions. Ultimately, I don't dare to go to ZX to clarify. LOL~

After Nicholas revealed his concerns, we proceeded to meet Jordan at Cathay. The first thing we did wasn't began shopping for clothes, but Jordan dragged us to a photo booth to take some customised Frankenstein-themed photos, which would then be uploaded to Cathay facebook. If the faces are tagged, then would stand a chance to be selected as the most creative photo and win the platinum movie suite gift card. Out of curiousity, we took a couple of photos but only one was uploaded! Baituo~

high

*Cathay was pretty much deserted in the weekdays! Great for shopping. But seemed to me that business is hard to do nowadays, especially online shopping has taken the world by storm, well, at least in SG jek.

After the fun, we first patronised a shop called Furrmuse. Shirts and pants looked nice, a bit Korean style too, but price was a bit steep for me. Jordan said just take a look and see what's in the trend, before making our way to places with cheaper stuff. LOL~ That's a good idea too! But usually it's 一分錢一分貨,好貨不便宜、便宜沒好貨的說。Without buying anything, we left the place then went up to level 2's VOL.TA Marque. It's a bigger shop than the former, but the prices are around the same, or maybe slightly lower. But not to my style ds.

*Surprised that Billy Bombers has moved out of Cathay and next tenant is Saveur. 最近看到Saveur急著擴張業務的說,之前才在Purvis Street開另一家分店,現在進駐Cathay.

Was telling them the weather recently was quite nice, i.e. no rain for quite long time already, and I want to cycle. Both of them immediately 嗆聲 say I could have called them ds. Aigoo, the irony was that both of them were so busy with their schedule - Jordan went cruise for a week(?) and Nicholas had other gatherings with his other groups of friends, possibly need to spend quality time with father too.

Then went Lowry's Farm at Plaza Sing, over there, Jordan advised I need to have some 材質感 clothes, meaning plain T-shirt is a no-no. Too plain may be too boring and looks saggy lol... Still, didn't buy anything. Next, it was JRunway - Japanese style which I'll never understand. A bit too bizzare and daring to my liking. Some T-shirt are so causal and loose fitting that, they are a bit western style I would say...

Then went up to pay a visit to Uniqlo, again. Took some khaki pants and slim- + skinny-fit jeans and a long sleeve shirt to fitting room to try out. The shirt was a bit transparent - too thin le, nn exposed! Eek! The khaki pants didn't look particularly nice, not colours but cutting, according to Jordan. As for jeans, the slim-fit looked better than skinny-fit though I could fit in both la. 腿還算細的說~嘻嘻!While I really liked the colour and the fitting in one jean, somemore selling at an affoardable price of $29.90. I can't confirm if I have similar colour at home. In the end, didn't buy too. But it's kinda 100% buying if after I can double confirm ds.

Then Jordan asked me to consider cropped pants - this means that I had to wax leg hair away. Aigoo! It's quite a lot ds... *Hin...*

After the shopping at Plaza Sing, around 3 pm, they two were hungry because they didn't have lunch. So lunch was at 김대문 which Nicholas and me missed out the last time! It was a first time for Jordan though. Hehe~ Xyy ds... Then Nicholas had his spicy shredded chicken set ($6.50), Jordan had the legendary fried rice set and we shared a serving of the spicy tteokbokki ($5). Didn't have any main meal for that late lunch coz I had yong tau foo lunch at home and wasn't feeling hungry!^^

第一次光顧김대문
大讚泡菜炒飯夠味好吃
他完全洋去!:)

 點他愛吃又划算的雞肉套餐
$6.50但很飽喔!
衣服都穿到美美喔!

 現在看會肚子餓咧
T.T

 好辣!好爽!

Damage: $0 (Thanks Nicholas for treating the tteokbokki!)

Jordan complemented the fried rice as very tasty! Glad that he enjoyed the food as recommendation by us. :D I showed them some of our POP photos taken when Jordan and I POPed out of Tekong. Nicholas POPed out one batch later. Yang when they showed some interests in the photo as they commented them, especially Nicholas, who almost couldn't recognise one the guys in the photo was GYS! After the late lunch, Nicholas xyy said he wanted cold stone creamery as ice-cream desserts. Jordan sang along too. Aigoo... They both super yang lor.

Over at cold stone creamery, they actually wanted a bigger serving with single flavours. But as there were so many flavours to choose from, Jordan suggested might as well split into two flavours with smaller serving. Yang! So at the end, these were what we had at this place:

1. Chocolate devotion: contains fudge, chocolate chip and brownies ($6 for LIKE IT size)
2. Cheesecake fantasy: contains blueberries, strawberries and graham cracker crust ($6 for LIKE IT size and additional $1.20 for waffles bowl)

As we took a break from the shopping, we continued our chats from 김대문. Very yang. Firstly, we talked about JX. Jordan 就在這時爆JX的料——以前當兵時代,在睡覺的時候,JX會用枕頭打JordanAigoo... Is this considered 夢遊?Then he described JX as blur and not aware to his surroundings. He commented that during the Taiwan trip before ORD(?), Jordan 放不下心讓JX一個人到處走. For e.g. if JX wanted to look at something in a shop, the whole group likely would stop and accompany him into the shop, lest later he don't know will roam where... Well, sometimes it's hard to self-control yourself as external factors play a part too. Looking into his family situation, it's no wonder that his mum is protective of her two sons. But hopefully his job will nurture him so that he could be sensitive to what's going on to his surroundings.

Next, the topic of interest was GYS. That fateful ugly incident happened on 26 Jun 2010 was brought up again. Coz it really made me feel shocked and boiling at that point of time and puzzled me after that. We all know that he can't exercise self-control on both his actions and words, the way he talks, he does, always seems to have the 'go-all-the-way-to-extreme' feel to it, hence the 'extreme' nickname I gave to him. But why suddenly got such behaviour when he was totally alright before the incident? Nicholas said he probably thought we're taking him for a ride as we didn't give him an exact location of where we were. But the truth was we were roaming around Somerset area, how to expect to give him an exact answer, arbo everybody sitting down, not moving anywhere and waiting for him to find us meh? Sorry hor, I don't want to waste time like that... And there're phones wat, could have used phone to call when reaching around Somerset area mah. What's so big deal about it.

I purposely brought up the 'seletar camp incident' for Jordan to explain to Nicholas. Back then, in 2nd year of NS, Jordan described as he almost have died from GYS doings. SSF, want to rush to be first to reach bunk and go for shower so that no need to wait for cubicles. Don't know what's up with that kind of superior/kiasu feeling, no prize for being first place leh! So basically when going up the stairs, this GYS kept pushing people away to make way for him to speed up to his bunk on dunno-what-level-as-long-as-not-ground-floor level. Jordan happened to be in front of him and when Jordan reached his bunk level, GYS just pushed him forward towards the latch until Jordan's barang-barang flew out of the latch into the air. Jordan himself, half of the body already out of the latch. 幾危險有沒有?!

Last thing chatted about GYS was about the field camp. In a nutshell, he committed some very trivial mistakes and was kena exposed by PS. But he die die don't want admit and in the end dragged the whole platoon down. Really stupid and dumb. What can the PS do to him if he had admitted to it? The mistake he committed was so trivial that at most is award some guard duties mah... =.=

Briefly remembered that we also talked about him bringing in lotsa snacks and even whole tray of canned drinks into Tekong as the vending machine ran out of drinks quite often. That's a good point of him but also could see his 'extreme' behaviour, so what if bring in so many snacks? Unhealthy leh... Can finish it within a week? Later sick how? Got prize being in 1st place?

I even added on that last time when he said he want to quit. Look at now, didn't he finish the whole uni course and graduated? Talk is really cheap for him. Shouldn't have wasted so much time listening to his ranting/complaints/yaya-ness... =.=

Then while talking about field camp, Nicholas was surprised to know what I fainted twice within a day and Jordan was jelly and jokingly said my acting was so apt and just in time. Aigoo... I may forget what I did during BMT but this is something which I will remember for life lo. Big incident leh. And I will narrate it to others when talk about BMT lol. Haha...

Jordan 爆料 that last time Wiyatno used to dance inside the armskote and then kena caught. They were both armskote arm, together with Shawn and someone from section 3. Aigoo... Funny incidents there.

Hearty chat. Always do and will always do.

Spent some quality time at food. After the desserts, it was about 5.30 pm and Nicholas left via Somerset to Vivo.

分開前拍個照先!
洋!

We two continued to visit Uniqlo, Vintage and Recoil @ 313. Vintage has some nice nice shirts (some are a bit Korean style) and the prices are more pocket friendly than People of Asia (PoA). Shall buy from them next time if I'm looking for shirts. Yang! At recoil, Jordan tried out the blazers. But he's too big even for the size XL. Baituo. No wonder Jordan kept picking that he's fat.

Next it was H&M. One of their khaki pants ($49.90) was nice, but only in button fashion. I wanted zip one coz more convenient. Heard from Nicholas that people living in cold weather prefer button to zip because won't make 'fatal' mistake lol. Aigoo, SG so hot, no need button la. At the end also walked out empty-handed.

Visited Robinson in the former Heeren, CK and Metro at Paragon and Topman at Knightsbridge. Shirts are very expensive at Robinson, saw one swimming trunk selling for almost $120! *Shrieks* Nothing to see at CK and Metro. Then tried out khaki pants at Topman, but Jordan said not as nice as H&M one. $59.90 Aigoo... Didn't buy that.

Lastly, tried out our luck at Far East. TBH, things at Far East aren't exactly cheap as people perceive them to be. At two different shops selling khaki pants, one selling $59 another selling around $65. Both are expensive than the established brands such as H&M and Uniqlo in this case! Not as if they are some famous brand or what, the pants also made by some ulu brand, or even unbranded at all. Probably wouldn't buy anything from there le lo.

About the pants tried at these two shops, the first one (about $65 one), was either too tight (M size) or too loose at waist area (XL size). Awkward feeling ds. Then the second one was much better, would have seriously considered if they have size 32, though 31 also can la. Slim fit looks great too! Also never buy in the end. Basically, I didn't buy anything yesterday. But had learnt much valuable fashion lessons from Jordan and Nicholas. Understand that Jordan couldn't have the final say to what I wear but I really want real guidance into fashion ds.

Ended scouting for pants, Jordan suddenly for cravings for dinner at those local stalls at level 5. He had 雲吞麵 ($4) while I had 炸雞扒麵 ($4). Food was decent enough, but not too fantastic. Jordan saw our POP video and he was quite absorbed to it. Baituo... *回憶過去,痛苦的相似忘不了~~~* Shared with him that I'm on a diet, i.e. dinner eating only 2-3 spoonful of rice and trying to cut down on snacks and tidbits (they are very irresistable when one's whole day at home ds), instilling some kind of self-discipline on my food consumption. He said he seldom buy snacks and sometimes sis and mum don't even eat rice at dinner, but mum would cook just for Jordan's sake. He also mentioned that his upcoming internship would very likely be moving around Australia, staying for a short period at each location. Aigoo... Means it's going to be quite busy le shuo, just by moving stuff alone... At last, he's graduating end of this year and soon he would be back in SG for good and it's much easier to ask him out gai gai lo! *Yang!*

*Saw Jia Xin Jewelry diagonally opposite to the food store. Aigoo... When JX opened shop and we aren't aware of it? LOL

難得看到他笑到那麼燦爛
今天的他完全是洋去!
 我都要閃一邊垂掉去

Suddenly, Jordan said he's still not hungry after that plate of wanton mee. Aigoo! I already feeling full after my 炸雞扒麵 le. And the most shocking was that he wanna go Paris Baguette to eat some cakes coz he hadn't been to Paris Baguette SG outlet before so he wanted to try it. OMGGGAAKKKKK!!!! *眼睛睜大大粒* *心跳加速* *shrieking loud in my heart! 갸아아아악!!!!!!* Therefore he suggested to go there after the meal. WQBX ds, he totally XYY~

Luckily Paris Baguette haven't close shop. So we had camembert cheese cake ($7) and strawberry flavoured royal pudding ($4.50), sat there and continued our HTHT... Halfway through, Nicholas called and asked us what we were doing now and he requested me to ask Jordan how he think about Wiyatno. Aigoo... But I can't bring in the topic so directly as it would be awkward and expose everything ds. So I first bring in WX to Jordan, said recently got interact more and asked how he think about him. He then answered that WX like to 講廢話. Aigoo... Then came in Wiyatno, he replied that Wiyatno is not bitchy but whiny and also likes to 'sainai' aka 撒嬌 even to guys. OMGAAAKKK!!!!

Then talked about BMI, that if Jordan wanted to slim down to BMI of 22, he needed to shed about 10 kg of weight. But he looks so perfectly normal right now!!! I need to shave another 2-3 kg off from my current weight to achieve an BMI of 22.

Moving on to jobs, told him about my plight and he said oil and gas jobs those need to travel to offshore a lot are very tiring one. Didn't know his father also works in this line ds, a lot of times overseas, no doubt pay is good but can be quite tiring too.

The day ended when we saw breads thrown away and cakes kept in fridge by the staff. I would be super delighted if they sell those breads cheap cheap instead of throwing them away. Their breads are so nice ds! *drooling*

15th interview

Went for interview at Siemens today for an engineering position. Only 1 round of interview, if in means in, otherwise means not selected for job le. Overall, I couldn't comment anything from the interview, it's as typical as it is. But I did have a bit of difficulties comprehend caucasian's English. They aren't native speakers too, so it's kinda 'new' to my ears.

Got stunned a little bit when they said 4-6 weeks of waiting time. Need so long meh?

Shall see how it goes. Need a job badly now.

Oh ya, realised this bus 985 super fast in shuttling between Toa Payoh and Bukit Timah areas because it travels on PIE. Next time could take this bus to Toa Payoh le. But the downside is the low frequency. It's another 20 mins waiting after one bus is gone. *If only there is a bus that does the same to Jurong area.* The most epic travel was coming home back from interview. Only took 1 hour from leaving the place to reach home doorstep. Thanks to 985 ^^

Went out with Jordan and Nicholas. Had a great day today!

Dead tired. So will update tomorrow.

現在的小孩子真的目無尊長沒有家教

Finally repaired the torchlight le!!! The soldering part was quite difficult. If it wasn't me who is poor now, I would have considered buying a new torchlight le. I guess once I earn the first salary, I will always remember how hard is to earn those money and therefore will be thrifty.

*Yes, another interview coming up! Hopefully I could get a job before CNY!

WX let me watch this video...

What a way to start the week: Early in the morning Bay sent in a picture of the crowded Yishun MRT station. One look confirm got breakdown. Indeed… There was a breakdown around Ang Mo Kio area and the stretch from Yishun to Ang Mo Kio got affected. The situation was rather badly handled - not many shuttle buses could be seen…

看到這一幕,Monday blue馬上來!

Most irony is this: Gong Xi Fa Cai yet breakdown?!
It’s only 20 days into year 2014, how many MRT breakdowns and disruptions there already?!

Ok, enough of the train news. This post narrates what really happened on yesterday’s JB trip.

JB trip is never meant for big groups for some reasons - transportation, location, communication, interest - that’s why usually it’s about 3-5 persons going at any time. Then on 1 Dec last year, the 7 persons went JB. It’s rather big group already.

For the first time in history, this record is broken once again with more than 10 people attending. In fact, it’s 11! The reason is that me, PG side here want to organise a gathering with Nicholas and Jordan present. Then HL her side want to go JB. So end result was to merge the 2 groups together.

PLANNING STAGE

Participants
1. Me
2. PG
3. Nicholas
4. Jordan
5. JX
6. HL
7. Sebastian
8. ZX
9. Wiyatno
10. WY aka honeykick
11. HH

Actually something happened before the trip. Ok, firstly HL only mention about going JB on 19th without giving more details. Then HH suddenly say once confirmed liao he will go CALL AND RESERVE. One look will know he’s talking about newsy karaoke lor. Aigoo… But I have been k-ing both in JB and SG with different groups of people. TBH, I’m a bit sick of it liao. Plus, it’s not REALLY cheap to k lo.

Until the day before the trip when I asked about the itinerary in the evening because people weren’t pushing things to happen. Things got a bit complicated due to the big group. Does Neway has big room for more than 10 persons? Need to split into 2 groups? If so, how to split?

Discussing halfway then HL said she and WY can’t make it in the morning and asked the 9 of us to sing in morning. Then HH said he needs to be back home by evening time to celebrate niece birthday, but he said don’t need to accommodate him due to this reason. But he very coz few days ago he mentioned he will call Neway. Then Saturday morning he mentioned the same thing again. But afternoon suddenly he asked me to book the room wor! QS? Want sing and already said will ownself call and I’m not keen (although I said I’m neutral with both), yet don’t want to book. 成何體統?

At that point of time still haven’t got a conclusion when Nicholas suddenly asked me if I’m keen to k.

Finally! Got someone who thought likewise as me le! Wanted to turn down the k session but it’s hard to do alone lest later people critise me of being 不合群. Aigoo… Anyway, PG also wasn’t keen on k neither.

So PG went to ask HH and told him actually 3 of us not singing with him. Then he replied at 1900 that he no crave to sing, no mood to shop, basically no mood to go. WQ saggy. Obviously Nicholas no go sing, he 完全冷感去. I thought if no mood to sing, then why suggest it in first place. He commented that he THOUGHT we want to sing. But we didn’t express any interest. Perhaps it’s ZX and Sebastian who may have the cravings ba. Aigoo… JX so happily say he want k ds.

But luckily, everything was resolved with 5 people going. Now the problem is Jordan coz he didn’t say he want sing or do other stuff at JB. He only briefly mentioned that he want to shop. But anyway, if Jordan or HH backed out at the very last minute, at least got me and PG to make up the number. ZX even more chill… say in future only need to confirm just before registration at counter since Neway always got room every time one.

At last, everything was sort of finalised!

*Really want to give a smack on Wiyatno, people have been talking about 19th no mention of 18th, why you thought is 18th? And also the currency thingy, go change yourself la. Got one day to do it and money changer is everywhere. How to lend when I myself also not enough to spend? Still ask so many times aigoo… Hin~~

ON THE DAY ITSELF

Woke up rather early - 7.30 am. PG was shrieking early in the morning because he saw HH last seen at 0158. I just replied coldly that hopefully he would make it on time.

Then HH replied said he will be late. WTH! Did he woke up late? Still don’t know yet coz he never state reason. With this in mind, me and PG decided not to set off too early, it’s been always we two waiting for the others at bus bay ds.

Left house at 8.55 am. Yang got 157 as first bus to arrive at the bus stop. PG was waiting at the Blk 303 bus stop, wearing the ever-bright yellow T-shirt his cousin bought for him in HK. At this time @ 9.12 am, Wiyatno called and asked us where I was, After I told him I still at JE and would go on my own, he seemed to sag lol… Well, heck, how to meet him when we stay west, he stays east? Wtihin 5 mins, 160 came and off we went to Woodlands Checkpoint!

The bus was super fast, almost beat the red light on Woodlands Road after the Yew Tee housing estate. The sudden brake was beds. Luckily the bus wasn’t very crowded -  a good sign!

Sebastian and Nicholas also on their way, taking almost same route. But Sebastian was one train ahead of Nicholas jek.

No jams at counters! Everything was very smooth sailing. Upon reaching the bus bay was surprised to see JX, Jordan, Wiyatno and Nicholas ds. But they didn’t wait for us for long la. Then bitching about each other while waiting for the remaining guys to reach. Sebastian at Woodlands waiting for HH and ZX. LOL~

JX was teased rather badly by us lol. Not sure how it started, but the topic was on the girl he seems to ‘fall in love with’… As much as he wanted to deny, we kinda suspected that Gina Lau was the one he likes ds. When talk about her, JX initially didn’t want to admit or deny, but later he kept on denying profusely. LOL~ 越描越黑的說...

Nicholas complemented Jordan got a quite 磁性 voice coz I mentioned that I got keep his voice recordings. He thought his voice is 雌性 as he unsure the ci is or 雌。拜託~

Then HH 登場!Sporting (pun intended too!) a black T-shirt with the wordings ‘canoeing marathon’ on it, 有一點大跌眼鏡的說。He didn’t wow either Jordan or Wiyatno. Perhaps is due to the colour which kinda downsized him liao. Or maybe I 誇大其詞? Of course that shirt did create a small commotion la. LOL! People can’t imagine him doing sports baituo. Aigoo, why not fred perry nor the orange polo shirt?!

*Was the only one in the whole group wearing flip-flop...*

*PG was shrieking out whole day ds coz Wiyatno gave HH a backhug just outside KFC at JB Sentral. Wiyatno was quoted as saying ‘hugging is a form of therapy. Omo~ SSF*

Fast forwarding a bit, at Neway counter, I didn’t stand too near to the counter. But PG and HH were right at the counter doing the check-in so I thought they wanted to sing. Then me, Nicholas and Wiyatno went away with Wiyatno bugging me where to jiak breakfast. (Yes, I still remember this!) Until  we already stepped onto the escalator going down, PG suddenly joined us in a totally yang mode! Even more yang was that he even jotted down all the nice nice cafes/kopitiam while doing his research a day ago. Aigoo, heng no need to headache where to eat breakfast le! ^^

Cafe hopping 出發咯!

Anyway, the places marked are all around the OCBC bank I visited last time and they are VERY near to coastline. Might even get reception from SingTel lor.

Destination 1: 錦華茶餐室

This is a kopitiam situated at a corner along Jalan Trus and Jalan Tan Hiok Nee. I nearly went to eat lunch at this place last time. But uncle wanted to settle it at the nearby 甡兴 for noodles. But that noodles was nice too! Argh, as I blog this I began to feel hungry liao. Anyway, that aside, the 4 of us shared a 2 pieces of toast and a big plate of nasi lemak, in addition to a cup of either teh (me and Nicholas) or 鴛鴦 (Wiyatno) or kopi (PG)!

Sidetrack a bit...

Back to track...

*Luckily got Wiyatno around, ordering drinks in Bahasa Malaysia was much easier. That kopi guy, from the way he looked, is Indonesian I think.

The aunty was shocked as she saw 4 fried chicken wings+drumsticks on the plate of nasi lemak Wiyatno was holding as she didn’t think that the nasi lemak was meant to be shared. Haha!

早上喝杯茶喔

辣死你媽
完全美味!Mmmmm~~

About the food, I just love the nasi lemak! The chilli was quite powerful: fragrant and spicy! Chicken was freshly fried and therefore had some warmth in it. I jin yang over it! Toast was ok, very nicely done too. What a beautiful breakfast!

Was surprised that Wiyatno and Nicholas knew each other way way before they met yesterday lor. 原來他們兩個有一個共同的朋友,然後這個朋友有跟其中一個講到對方的事情——世界太小了。

Towards the end, when making payment, the aunty was saying something which I need to raise both hands and legs to agree! She was so-called ‘advertising’ her kopitiam by comparing it with City Square - saying that should come to kopitiams like her one more often coz cheap and good! I don’t blame her though, for because eating at City Square is always more expensive than such koptitiam. Somemore, the food may not be better at City Square lo.

Damage: RM 6 (total RM 24)

39-67, Jalan Tan Hiok Nee
80000 Johor Bahru, Johor

Destination 2: 豆花花 Tofu Flower Café (FB)

PG wanted to pay a visit to Chaiwalla & Container cafe de but it was closed. Then wanted Scrumbtious along Jalan Pahang and it was also closed. Without being sagged by these 2 cafes, we spotted this quite decently decorated soya bean aka tofu flower specialty cafe, so we made it our 2nd stop of cafe hopping.

Ok, here’s what we ordered:

1. 原味豆奶
2. 姜味豆奶
3. 原味豆花
4. 綠茶豆花
5. 一份油條

擺設精緻
綠茶豆花是此店的特點

三個開心的男人

The 油條 aka fried fritters was nicely cut up so that we no need to dirty our hands to tear it up into smaller pieces - 店主還真貼心的說。

The 豆花 were smooth, especially the 綠茶豆花簡直獨一無二。味道夠香口感又滑,吃下去會喜洋洋喔!^^

But I didn’t quite like the 姜味豆奶 - too ginger for me le.

Nicholas on the spot helped Wiyatno massage a bit. Baituo, didn't like when exert too much force on my shoulder.. *pain*

Another yang factor was the free WiFi available! Yes, I love it when more and more places are setting up free WiFi within their shops. So we kept spamming and logging online to achieve our agenda. *My prepaid card is becoming lesser and lesser important liao. Nonetheless, it still serve its purpose when I’m at relative’s house. Shan’t dwell on this as out of topic liao.*

Damage: RM 3.50 (total RM 14)

10-11, Jalan Pahang
80000 Johor Bahru, Johor

Destination 3: IT Roo cafe

Just about 1 minute walk away, we arrived at what it claims to have ‘the best chicken chop in (JB) town’ - IT Roo cafe.

Went in and ordered one fried chicken chop with black pepper sauce and a grilled one with mushroom sauce. Both were jin ho jiak! :) But felt the wedges didn’t make it, I think they went to boil it rather than fried it. The potato were kinda hard instead of the soft interior of a typical wedges.

17, Jalan Dhoby

Destination 4: Maco Vintage (FB)

While walking back to Jalan Tan Hiok Nee, PG went to check out Chaiwalla & Container cafe. Ok, it finally opened after noon time. So we went up to check what drinks available. But a bit saggy that only outdoor seats available.

Then this time round I looked across the private car park and the green-coloured building caught my attention. I pointed that to PG and he asked me what’s that. I said obviously decorated until like that it must be cafe la. Aigoo…

So we gave up on Chaiwalla this time round and decided to give that green-coloured cafe a try. Omo omo omo… it’s a newly opened cafe called Maco Vintage! Immediately I got attracted by the cozy greenery interior. Big tables, large cushioned armchairs, plus there’s air-con too! Perfect for chilling with friends in the hot afternoon!

Ordered a slice of 3-in-1 (RM 8.50) and rum & raisin (RM 8.50) flavoured mille crepe, and also a cup of XX and YYY. OMGGGGGGGG I totally fell in love with both the mille crepe! They were so nice and delicious, especially the rum & raisin one. Omo omo~~~~ *Yes, jumping around over the nice mille crepe* IMO think they are better than the ones from Humble Beginnings with slightly cheaper price ds.

我看我已愛上它了 :)

超愛這間咖啡廳的!^^

I WILL and MUST try the other flavours when I make the next visit to JB. *grin*

The latte art on the macademia nut latte (RM 9) was senget one. Aigoo and the Maco's ice drip (RM 12) 還是第一次看到這樣的呈現方法。可以按照個人喜好調弄咖啡濃度、甜度各方面。只能說咖啡太給力,那晚tong到凌晨2點鐘才睡的說。

Damage: RM 10.45 (total RM 41.80)

18, Jalan Ibrahim
80000 Johor Bahru

Went back to City Square at around 2.20 pm. *We didn't forget to meet at 2 pm de! Just that too yang at Maco Vintage.* Everybody was waiting for 4 of us ds. Oops.

HL wanted to try the 香芋流沙包, so HH, ZX, Sebastian and WY followed along. The rest went shopping. Met back at 3.30 pm ds. Wiyatno wanted massage so he and PG went to check out the timing. Nicholas, JX, Jordan and me walked around inner city. Then here came the trouble: the earliest time slot was 3.15 pm and session lasts 1 hour and we supposed to meet at 3.30 pm. Advised Wiyatno forgo the massage at City Square and said go KSL one instead.

As we walked around the mall, I asked Jordan about his opinions on the karaoke session. He commented that he didn't choose the latest Chinese pop songs but rather those old school ones but really enjoyed the session. HH and JX kept 飆高音。*這兩個就是要看誰可以娃娃音到比較久就對了*

Giant holding giant mocha drink!
不會大杯的說

Heard that the meal provided at Neway wasn't up to standard ds. HH said not appetising at all. Baituo...

Jordan wanted to buy a pair of business shoes for his internship coming up till end of year (when he graduates). He wanted something sharp and smart looking but keep it simple, i.e. no fanciful lines and colours around. Went in Bata shop to see the shoes but he didn't buy any. Then at this time, PG shrieked to me coz he saw YD just outside the shop. He claimed that YD also saw him but they two didn't greet nor interact each other. Both of us watched him over a distance away and saw he was with two other persons whom I didn't know.

Then met up with the rest again. The whole gang then shop for CNY goodies at first floor. I had nothing to buy, only helping WX to buy the 芽菇. The Mr Sotong one wasn't very nice, too thin and bland for my liking. But I kinda liked the one at the corner stall nearest to McD. But still never buy in the end, a little bit expensive I thought. Maybe KSL cheaper? Haha...

HL, PG bought the green tea cookies. On the other hand, ZX, Sebastian, HH bought that malay tiny cakes. I suspect HH bought the cakes for niece and nephew aigoo... RM 13/15 for original/chocolate flavours. In the end, HH bought chocolate flavoured fish-shaped cakes. Liked how it's 現烘現賣!

Shopped halfway and it's photo taking frenzy time!

 金馬!

拍得最美就是這兩張了!哈哈!:)

越來越多人過來合照

最後JX也插一腳

他也不認輸拍金馬

Then ZX went for his massaging and HH waited for his cakes to be ready. They 2 went back SG early. The rest continued their day to KSL by cab. Shared cab with JX and Nicholas. HL-Sebastian-WY one cab and PG-Wiyatno-Jordan another. Cab fee was RM 8 (not go by meter!!!!) which I thought is around RM 6 coz about same distance as Jalan Keris. But anyway, they didn't raise until ridiculous price like RM 20.

Reached the place but PG they all were nowhere to be seen. And KSL seemed more crowded than the quite crowded City Square liao. Sebastian said they might be at the other entrance, so Me and Nicholas walked around to see if they were roaming around. Saw JX so we followed him downstairs. Finally spotted Jordan and Wiyatno at basement level, with Jordan holding on a drink. JX saw that and he wanted to buy. Jordan was saying that JX didn't change much, only will remember the route to go there and confirm will take the same route back, aka not the other side. Indeed, JX took the same route and he didn't see the 4 of us. He only looked to the front and walked straight... Aigoo... Wiyatno bought multi-socket USB charger there then JX drank pomelo tea beverage. Then I told Jordan that JX did change - nowadays keep hearing him talking about girls, having girlfriends, 美不美 etc... Jordan說他長大了,哈哈!

Then Wiyatno went for all-body massage, will be out by 6.15 pm.

Bought 2 tins of 芽菇 at KSL for RM 16 each. About RM 4 cheaper than City Square - good deal! Haha! After settled all CNY stuff, we again parted our way and decided to meet at Coffee Bean at 6.15 pm. Without buying anything, Jordan went in this expo-like bazaar to see if there were any shoes to his liking. Chatted about job prospect in future with JX and Nicholas. But I'm really envy JX that he got job now leh. *Sad mood* In the end, Jordan bought a pair of shoes for RM 58 only!

Since everybody has completed his agenda, then we headed Coffee Bean to take a break and waited for HL her gang and Wiyatno. *My legs were giving away from long hours of walking on flip-flop* Then after HL they all sat in, chatted about JC, schools, HL's school life now, etc. HL is hoping to get into Temasek JC to teach Biology. Apparently HH is taking 28 periods of lesson per week, i.e. 14 hours! Moreover, he also teaches Maths on top of Chemistry. Then got CCA. No wonder so tired la.

Then Wiyatno came down after massage. Nicholas and Jordan accompanied him to buy hair wax while the rest continued to wait before setting off to have dinner at 大馬花園! HL and Sebastian said the prepaid data in Thailand is quite cheap, 7 days unlimited data for S$12 only. OMGAKKK! When Malaysia also can implement something like this? Pay a little bit more for now to enjoy unlimited data on 3G network, rather than the pathetic 450 MB. Then saw WY and Nicholas chatting behind me, will explain later WHY I specifically mention this.

Re-patronise the tze char stall again. Because this time round HH wasn't around, so there is almost no restriction to what can be ordered. *Last time when he was around, need to consider this and that because he's rather picky about food. The crab we ordered he doesn't wait to eat but he craved for the fried sotong babies ds.* So we had a couple of dishes including crayfish, 黃酒雞 etc.

The most legendary was the salted egg yolk crayfish! The meat was really fresh and got 彈性!淋上鹹蛋黃後真的是一道美味佳餚喔!個人也喜愛黃酒雞,因為好夠味喔!^^ A very satisfying dinner.

Damage: RM 31.78 + 2 for drink (total RM 286 for 9 pax, dinner only)

Thanks Jordan for the drinks treat!

Took some bus back to City Square, this time round fare only RM 1.20. Not like last time RM 1.50, coz different route taken. And it stops in front of City Square whereas the last time stopped at JB Sentral. Then Wiyatno asked me if WY is attached now. He was quite disappointed coz he wanted to put Nicholas and WT together lol... Where got so fast one? They only met each other for the first time leh.

By the time reached back City Square it was already 8.30 pm le. As PG, Nicholas, HL, WY, Sebastian got stuff to retrieve at the mall, so me, JX, Jordan and Wiyatno came back SG first. *OMGAKKK, there wasn't water supply at the toilet, luckily got water to wash hand aigoo...* 170 came pretty fast though the queue stretched till the exit of the CIQ, maybe waiting time less than 10 mins? So not much queue cutting scenes happening. By 9.10 pm I already passed through SG custom liao. Called WX up and he wanted to meet at CCK MRT to pass him the 芽菇.

Damage: RM 61.70 (All of above costs in addition to RM 2 cab fare)

Horrifying sight at EWL: train so crowded and most of them were foreigners! Really felt I'm not in SG anymore :( Reached home 10.30 pm.

Shortly after, PG also cleared custom and took 160 back home. By the time 9.37 pm, he was already waiting for 160. Then when he was at Junction 10, I already at Chinese Garden ds.

Back home, he told me a very shocking news: during the late lunch at Canton-i restaurant, HH didn't want to eat the 流沙包's outer mantou skin, he only want the salted egg yolk ds; And HL/WY didn't want to eat the egg yolk but craving for the taro. So what happened was that HH drank all the salted egg yolk from 4 流沙包 while the girls ate the bun away. OMGGGAKKKK! Super unhealthy 好不好!And later on, HH whatsapped PG that he got nose bleed. Suspect the salted egg yolk was the cause. Aigoo...
