Wei Long's housewarming

I almost forgot this housewarming event lor, until yesterday geraint was collecting orders for carl jr's lunch.

Went to Timo's house. Terrace house was very big, very fortunate of him living in landed property. =)

Thanks to his bro for driving us to Farrer Road, despite there is direct bus to Wei Long's place of residence called Wilshire. We were the first to arrive.

Went around to see how's the place looked like. Apparently, each bedroom has its own bathroom. Wei Long's bathroom was surprisingly big. Almost half the size of his bedroom. OMG... Overall, the place looked big enough given that it's a condominium.

Was astonished by the sound system in the living room. Heard that it's super super expensive. But then it was not connected to the PS3 system we playing. LOL... If not it's like a rock concert liao.

The game we played was Rock Band 2. Each of the players has a role to play in the game, either you play guitar or drum or mic. I'm not good in drum nor mic. Drum is too difficult for me and I can't sing English songs lor. I really hoped there's a Chinese version for the game with all those Chinese pop songs.

Wei Long was pro at drum, Geraint and Jansen were good at guitar. 1 thing I don't like is the duration of 1 song, so freaking long. OMG... We get tired of the song easily. Some of the songs involved so much concentration and movement that it almost become IPPT. LOL

Wei Long ordered Swiss chicken bacon burger for me. Thanks, Wei Long! The burger was huge and tasty... Everybody had a carl jr's takeaway as free lunch. Nice... Then Bay showed attitude when I'm making fun of him. Very sien of him.

Pity that Shi Hao cannot make it. Lunch became Wei Long's dinner lor. LOL

Left the house at 7pm. Reached home 8pm. Super tired. Looked at someone's blog, apparently it's emo, but it looked like it's a fake?

23/10/2008 Tropic Thunder 开麦拉惊魂

*话说众人玩到超巅，隔天起来若无其事，好才度假村管理层没有投诉我们。

Took half day off, drove Shi Hao and Edmund out, together with the bulky cooker.
On the other hand, Kenny, Jia Yun, Leon, Geraint and Dominic took Joseph's car out.
We went different ways.

1st, we went to my house, as I need to let off the cooker. It's really that bulky. Then let Shi Hao and Edmund had a chance to see how I drove now. Heh heh, now I drive like a lao jiao, no more mocking from Dominic that I drive like a xin jiao liao.

Also, let them had a chance to visit my home. Actually nothing much to see though, but I had no choice to return the cooker first mah. They were the first to visit my home. LOL~

Then we drove to JJC for a lunch. I was paranoid on the accessing to JJC part. But the guard actually allowed us to enter with ease! No need for visitor pass, no need for vehicle pass! Wahaha! At the same time, me and Edmund introduced and orientated our alma mater to Shi Hao. Loved the chicken thigh from the Muslim stall.

Saw Mr Yeo, chit-chatted for a while. I thought as soon as my batch graduated from JJC he would be jobless (no more F Maths from 2007 onwards). But I realised that he now found another blue sky! He's now teaching H2 Maths. Good.

It's nice to hear from Shi Hao that the canteen is better than AJC. Also, all tutorial rooms in JJC are air-conditioned, but not for AJC. At least there's something I can be proud of JJC, even though it's not even in the top 10 JC.

*Shi Hao: is there something wrong with concrete jumping board for standing board jump?

Went to LT5, luckily it was empty. We went to the backstage to play piano. Something which the JJCians won't even think of doing. LOL

After that, we went to the so-called leader mess to chill for 15 mins. Played UNO stacko, Edmund lost, yet he don't want to serve the punishment, i.e. treat me and Shi Hao drinks. What the hell~

Then went to Boon Lay MRT to fetch Bay and we 4 people arrived at The Cathay House later than the rest for the movie.


It's a very mixed-up movie. It's a comedy + action + M18 movie. LOL

Story (spoiler ahead):
Basically, the story is simple to understand. There's this movie filming about war in Vietnam going on. However, the actors were giving attitude problems and uncooperative. In the end, the $4 million fireworks went off without any filming. This resulted in the most expensive movie ever invested without any result.

Then the boss put the 5 actors into real situations whereby they needed to use the map to navigate themselves. Cameras were installed at different angles for shooting. Little did the actors knew that they were put into the area of Golden Triangle whereby the drug trade thrived. They had to fight with the forces there.

The story ended with 1 of the actor getting the lead award.

Review:
Though they labelled the movie as a comedy, there were lots of part whereby the whole threater laughed but I just find them not funny at all. Forced myself to laugh.

Bay laughed the most. Obviously, he was laughing at the 'no link' parts as usual.

A lot of people found it very lame. Me too. This kind of movie, better watch it online or find ways yourself by not paying money... LOL~

After the movie, we went to Starbucks to chill for an half-an-hour chat session. But well before that, we had some graffiti on the very artistic board consisting of all post-it sticky notes. Wrote something that we could frustrate out and of course the most important three-letter-word: ORD!

9 people shared one drink, quite kiam siap I would say. But on the other hand, I would do the same lor simply because the drinks there was very expensive.

Then 曲终人散. As I needed to top up cashcard and draw money, I need to make a move to Plaza Singapura. Then Jia Yun, Kenny, Edmund and Bay followed too. Kenny treated me Takoyaki... Very nice of him. This is what I called 自动.

*前一晚发生好多事，又停电又闹需要我们去XX。好才我相信直觉，直觉告诉我不好过夜，不然很惨一下。

这是我生平以来去过最棒的烧烤会！

请了半天假后，我就载Shi Hao、SK跟Cheung Jie到Clementi地铁站
把车停在山上，有惊无险

之后去找Jansen
第一次去他家
进去参观一下
屋子大间
雪山狗好可爱，可是好像会咬人一下
再进去他房间看
哇，有够乱
好像台风刚刚来袭
光碟满地放

到附近的咖啡店吃饭
然后去Edwin家找Edwin玩
相对比，Edwin家就小好多
可是又不是Dominic那种
大门就是电梯门口

我们看The Noose 2
很废一下，但还是笑了
玩wii
wario ware游戏
这个超废超好玩
我们三人害来害去
其实是要对付Edwin一个罢了
哇哈哈哈

然后因Edwin的妹妹有补习
所以进房继续玩
Edwin给我们看那个Roller Coaster Tycoon影片
那些人变态很多下咯！
竟然看见过山车撞死人会high
就是设计到不是过山车相撞或撞墙，不然就是腾空坠下来砸死在陆地上的人

然后我给他们看老马的杰作
他们对他的杰作只有一个字：服！

*这时候Zar讲有意思要来。SK打电来讲会面时间从4pm改去4.30pm，给他炸到。

路程上，我们都一致认为采购食材、燃料应该给我跟Jansen负责
不是讲SK不好
而是我们觉得很大费周章，而且动用那么多人又麻烦

去到他家后

我们到位于关卡附近的昇菘超市(Sheng Siong)

这边花近一个钟

来到度假村
想让Joseph一车人先进去试探地点
看有没有闹鬼
结果我们也不敢进去
然而他们打电来
在另一个地点会面

我敢讲我们这些同事们
学到一样东西：顺手牵羊
没错
我们顺手取了几样东西
有惊无险

等度假村的人员向我们保证
没有闹鬼后
我们才风光进入度假村

觉得很奇怪，没有人留他
之后Yun Zhen说他发烧，想回家
我看他等我们等到显去吧？
结果我们到了不到15分钟，他就回家
原本想载他回，但被他拒绝，又想到他已叫他爸来载他
原谅他咯

我们选在一个有顶的地方烧烤

设立双烧烤台、两个火锅、煤炭起火、食物解冻、冰冻冷饮等

棉花软糖不错，这个看个人烤的技术

烧烤大会只是PART 1而已
PART 2是玩牌 + 看戏
那些戏不怎么吸引我

玩到凌晨两点钟才上床睡觉
Jansen、Jason、Kenny Tan半夜前就走了
Edwin跟SK一早就离开
搭第一趟巴士回家

从中找到乐趣
都能把outing搞得有声有色
outing是你自己的，你可以搞砸它或者重视它

最可惜就是Yun Zhen在这个时候生病
不用紧
最重要ORD dinner不好病倒去就好了

海角7號 Cape No. 7

Just watched this movie.

Little info about the movie:
It was first shown on Taiwanese cinemas on 22 Aug 2008, following by Hong Kong on 20 Nov 2008 and then Singapore on 27 Nov 2008.

What's so great about the movie?
Taiwanese production lor! Like the Jay's movie "Secret"... Apparently, it has gain popularity in Taiwan with box-office accumulated to NT$215 million, surpassing The Lost World: Jurassic Park's 213-million accumulated Taipei sales record to become the 3rd top-selling film in Taiwan history. [copied from wikipedia lol...]

Story (spoiler ahead):
The story began around the 40s with the Japanese teacher fell in love with a local girl when he was sent to Hengchun town (恒春镇) in Taiwan. Then after Japan surrendered, he was forced to go back to Japan. On the way back, he wrote 7 love letters to her, feeling regret for leaving the girl.

Then here comes Aga (范逸臣), a youth from Hengchun town who couldn't gain success in Taipei as a rockband singer. He came back and his stepfather had got him a job as a postman. Then he came across this unsentable mail containing the 7 love letters as the place which the address refers to was missing already.

Then the local resort hotel planned to hold a beach concert featuring Japanese pop singer Kousuke Atari (中 孝介). But 范逸臣's stepfather, as the local council representative, insisted the opening band to consist of only the locals.

Tomoko (友子) was instructed to coordinate and manage the band. After a painful trial period, she and 范逸臣 had began a relationship. With the help of the hotel worker, 范逸臣 managed to find the rightful recepient of the 7 love letters.

Review:
Nothing computer graphic, no big action, 亲民朴素的题材一样得到效果。反应好不好不是看剧本，也不是看视听觉效果，而是电影能不能牵动观众的心。

Initially, the scenes at the front part of the movie didn't make up too much sense. What's the love letters, the love between the Japanese teacher and the local girl have to do with the movie? Only at the 2nd half of the movie then I can link up everything. It's the same with the love with 范逸臣 and the Japanese female lead Tomoko. The love between them which can't be expressed verbally collide with the 7 love letters.

The movie also depicts the 风土民情 in southern Taiwan and how ambitious a rural youth can be. The movie wants to bring out is it does not mean you can only get success when you are in big city, even if it's very kampung area, you still can make your success.

Of course, the movie ended with a beautiful ending. However, I would want to find out more if the duo decided to stay in Taiwan or move to Japan. The latter doesn't seem promising, given that Aga can't speak Japanese, but he can 闯出一片天 with the Japanese music company lor.

The Japanese female lead can speak Chinese quite well! But some of the pronounciation were very awkward, like the word 歌词 sounded like 鸽子... OMG...

Again, outings and more outings. This month is so-called the outing month! As a lot of people are graduating in upcoming couple of weeks, including myself (2 this month, 4 in Nov and 4 in Dec), we have come up with lots of activities to enable ourselves to get close with our juniors. Those we think who are nice guys lar...

16/10/2008 Johor Baru outing

*I've enough of stunts liao! Just let me go peacefully without hiccups, can or not?

This outing I didn't know de wor, don't know whose hands and mouth itchy go and tell I'm the organiser. Yah, I'm Malaysian but I don't come from JB mah. Try asking people from Penang or KL to take you around JB la, it's the same. 放过我一马吧！

Even though Joseph has a car, but he chose to take public transport while in JB. Reason? Dangerous to drive there. It really depends on how you present yourself lar, if you wear big gold big silver big watch, then obviously you are inviting for troubles lar. Also, don't place valuables in seenable locations in the car.

Initially, we have set the meeting time and place to be 1pm at Kranji MRT. I was first to arrive. Back at Bukit Batok MRT, Timothy called to inform me he wanted to go too, but he has something to do at Buona Vista, so might be late.

Then I called Kenny, he said he was on the way, together with Shi Hao SK they all, to Joseph's house to take the passport. What the hell?! Why the hassle? They were delaying the time lor.

Jansen came on his own by the local 170 bus. He was the 2nd to arrive. Initially, he wanted to meet the rest of us at the checkpoint at 1.20pm. But then, he decided to join me waiting for the rest. So we waited and waited.

Guess what?

I waited for more than 1 hour! Three of us appeared liao, then I called Kenny. He's still at Yishun lor! I told him, we 3 just cross the causeway 1st. Later then link up using phone.

The moment we stepped onto JB soil. Jansen immediately introduce some good food stalls there, what 咖哩鱼头 and 猪肠粉. Can try next time because Timothy wanted to have 'lunch' at City Square. So we had MarryBrown as lunch. It's a 1st for me to try MB even though I'm Malaysian. So? I prefer local food there lor. But the chicken was nice, better than KFC lor.

Then we went to buy some from Aunty Anne's Pretzels stall . A 1st for me too. Haiz... Compared to them, I think I quite like a 宅男, never try this b4 never try that b4. Tried both sour cream & onion and cinnamon sugar. Nice! My treat to Jansen and Timothy.

After which as we stopped and discussing about the Secret Recipe promotion, someone talked to us in a loud manner. I was shocked, then I turned and looked. That someone was Josephine! Asked the rest whereabouts. She said she also don't know. What were they up to? It's almost 4pm lor.

At last we met up, the first thing we did was to fill up our stomach with lunch. Chose Stonegrill restaurant because Jia Yun wanted to try. I shared my order with Jansen (Mixed grill + 杂豆 + fries @ RM29.90) and we added in one black pepper whipped potatoes (RM5.50). The grill was not bad and the waiter was super kind enough to help us cook the whole thing, including the cut ups. Only me and Jansen got helpers, other cooked on their own and they asked why only we got helpers. I think it's the 样子问题. LOL... Then the waiter also asked us if we want extra black pepper sauce. Wahaha~

Then, the group of us splitted into halves, with 1 group looking for DVDs and the other sat down for high tea @ Secret Recipe. Timothy couldn't believe the promotion they were having: cake + beverages = RM3. So he wanted to try lor. I had chocolate indulgence + caramel latte. The cake was not bad. Latte... I don't know if it's good or not because I'm not into the coffee. In the end, the other half group of people also lured by us, also sat down to order something until...

the bill came!

The astonishing part of it was that the RM3 refer to the slice of cake only. LOL... Everybody felt that they were cheated by SR. I didn't comment much because I know it couldn't be so cheap lor. Sgreans like to take advantages of offers and promotions without thinking the catch behind it. =.=

Then we headed to Holiday Plaza for DVDs. Kenny, Jansen, Shi Hao and me were not interested in the DVDs, so we had a eating + chat session at KFC. 他们聊的内容很劲爆一下！

As usual, dinner was at 大马花园. What they ordered were very 丰富 lor, got fish, got chicken, got 虾婆... Nice... Each person RM30.60.

After that Jansen was 发hiao-ing with his sms. LOL...

17/10/2008 Geraint's Birthday

*Happy Birthday to Geraint!

Pop up at Dominic's house at around 3.30pm. Not bad for a condonimum, but the exterior of the buildings looked like some places back at my workplace, a lot of algae around. Then went down with those future Olympics swimmers to see them swim, coz I got hydrophobia. I scared as soon as I see the swimming pool.

Then we went to Mayim chinese restaurant @ West Mall. There we had 13 people celebrating birthday with Geraint:

The whole feast went like this, each individual order his own set of noodles/rice and then his serving of 小笼包. Then the whole lot ordered some side orders to be shared by all.

Golden shrimps: This one was good, comparable to the one at Temasek Club.
Calamari: This one was ok, not too tough on tooth.
鹿肉: I don't really like those exotics though. But this one is tender.

小笼包: Yah, it's not as good as one you get at Crystal Jade. But this is budget version leh!
Wanton La-mien: Very standard one leh...

After which we had an ice-cream cake from Swensen. Nicely baked.

After the whole event, some of the guys were too high, they went for a free ride on the i-gallop... OMG!

** 家里上演prison break！那只老鼠竟然能从笼子逃脱，结果隔天在store room寻获。

Went to MOF (Ministry of Food) for Japanese feast @ Suntec City! The atmosphere there was good, but the food was a bit expensive. Maybe that's the market price for Japanese food? I seldom eat Japanese cuisine.

Ordered this 日式叉烧拉面 ($9.50). Not too bad, I liked the soup. Furthermore, they give you a little bottle of chilli powder which you can add how much you like to the soup. Then I added on a dessert - mango katagori ($6.80. It's like ice kacang with mango slices lor. This one was super nice.

After that we went to 爱琴海民歌餐厅. A first for me! Basically, it's a small cafe (not very high class lor) in which there're singers who sing for you while you chill there. The expenditure was a bit errr... too high? $10.80++ with a complimentary drink. $1.80 for 零嘴 was compulsory lor. Other charges to be added into the bill if you order food. In the end each person paid $14.25.

The cafe was quite crowded with some belonged to the singers' friends and family members. Their singing were not too bad. But the guy in green sang a bit like Jay Chou, a bit muffled and bassy. The other male singer was better. The female singer... Erm... when she sang 梁静茹's song, I could sense she's already 出力 sang lor.

Went to beach road hawker centre for lunch. Had this lor mee ($3), not too bad. The 炸莲藕 was special though. Then wanted to buy muffins, but we were late for the movie liao. Cheung Jie had his lunch with his dear...



We caught Eagle Eye, an action-packed movie.

A bit spoiler here, so hehe...
The story depicted hunting down of terrorists, but as the suspect was difficult to trace down. The system actually recommended to give up the mission. But the president insisted to carry on the thing, resulting in loss of innocent lives. Hence he has 激怒 the artificial intelligence (i.e. computers).

Hence this computer got up two people, completely unknown to each other, to carry out tasks, confusing the police. Eventually it wanted to eliminate the president and other important people. It has all the resources in helping them, like changing traffic light to its favour, or the MRT trains.

The trigger point here is when the son of the female lead hit the pitch of the national song, the sound will cause a resonance to the 'gem' the female lead was wearing, thereby creating a huge explosion. Of course, the thing didn't happened la.

Comments:
1. The crashing scenes were too fast, I can't figure out how the cars crashed. Very CG here.

2. The trigger point of the story is very the same of the one I saw in Get Smart. Copy idea or just simply coincidence?

3. The main part was nice, but I don't really like the front part. A bit not cohesive enough. The ending part looked okay for me.

4. Moral of story: Don't focus too much on AI until one fine day man is controlled by AI.

Birthday outing

It's the month for Shi Hao and Joseph. Their birthdays fall in this month, 4 Oct and 18 Oct respectively. Wish them a happy birthday!

Hence, me and Jansen organised this special outing. Firstly, to celebrate more of Shi Hao and Joseph's birthdays. Secondly, if want to think of this way, celebrate one another's birthday. Thirdly, just another event to spend time together, for gathering, for outing, for ord, whatever. It'll be more difficult to get everybody back after ord.

Originally meant for only the nov/dec batch. But me and jansen decided to open up to people from different batches. We won't force them to come lor, it's up to them to come.

Edwin recommended Shokudo, a Japanese restaurant. A good thing (they didn't pay me to advertise hor) about it is that each patron will receive a purchase card, then take this purchase card to place your order. You only pay before you leave the restaurant. It's good because people won't jumble up the single list of bill with everything included. The separation is very simple and clear.

Went home to borrow the honda fit. Then went to fetch Edwin and then Yun Zhen. The rest went there by themselves. Initially only intended to go there by myself. But 我人好, 良心跟这个真的过不去. Sincerely asked Edwin, picked up Edwin, sincerely asked Yun Zhen, but 他like对我不理不睬酱. Nvm, at last he said he wanted me to pick him up also, ok lor. 我又做一次好人.

For the food I ordered. They were kani seafood omu rice ($8.80) and strawberry kakigoi (looks like ice kacang, $6.80). Seafood omu rice was tasty while the strawberry ice kacang was sweet. Tried other foods other people ordered too, not bad.

*The noise they made in the toilet sounded like the bathroom/toilet i had back in clm.

Then we proceeded to Marina Square's arcade. Saw another Kenny outside the restaurant. lol... Tooth pain still want to eat good food?! Kenny left after the meal.

Over at the arcade, some opened up the pool table then some change for 50c coins to play with the machines. House of the Dead looked fun, but game over fast. Haven't seen Time Crisis for a long time. Still there. Preferred Bishi Bishi game, simple to play, only 3 buttons. LOL... Seriously, I'm not the type of person who can digest very complicated things. Games with too much controls are a no-no for me. I always prefer things to be as simple as possible, why make the brain cell work unecessarily to work for this?

Jansen played guitar game, similar to what Geraint has on his xbox 360. Joseph was the disturbing one, K.O. Jansen and Mun Wei while they were competing in a friendly force against computer. But another person came and K.O. him. Wahaha~

Throughout the playtime, me and Leon were the lonely ones. At last, the thing accumulated inside me bursted! I felt that I already can 忍 a lot, but there's always a limit. I don't know it's my problem (think too much) or it's their problems. I bet they can't tell if I got any 心事. The heavy parking fee ($11.24) deepened the emotions, I really hope I don't 沦落到他们的专用私家司机，呼之而来，挥之而去。

Am I so insignificant? I don't think so. I contributed quite an amount lor. But it's good that I voice out my opinions. I don't think I'm the unreasonable one to voice out.

I don't blame Leon (Sorry for CH8, you can't understand mandarin) and MW for this has been ongoing for a while already. It would be unfair to them. The one who knows he shouldn't do this was the one who scared the most. At least he now knows he's already over the limit liao. Shan't put up the names. Keep quiet is still the most lethal weapon, save the vocabluary and saliva to quarrel. Edwin was not surprised I guessed... I don't really blame him too, for at least he would talk to me.

Now he tried to explain. Hmm... maybe, but who can confirm? It's not just-this-matter only lor. Now he tried to change things, a bit too late? You leaving soon... Glad that you know. I always treat him with respect and good for he's not a bastard (sorry for using this word, lol). In fact, I treat a lot of people with respect and good because they are just too nice people.

But what do I get in return? How many people can realise the good points I have? How many out of them can really appreciate and really be good lifetime friends? Making friends is not difficult, but lifetime ones are. I really want those very good people to be lifetime friends. I don't expect to receive in big gifts or to cause them to spend money on me. Simple request, just need to treat me nice back can already. Don't even need to spend a single cent, so difficult to attain?

AMK hub outing

Super small outing lor. A first consisting of BMT friend and K999 friends. Enjoy both worlds.

Initially I've booked Peng Guan to go to Plaza Singapura to catch a movie after half day off. But then on the way there, Shi Hao they all wanted to psycho me to go AMK hub instead, so I can 陪 them. Also got Cathay cinema mah... $6 cheap cheap.

Happy that they interacted with each other. If not 我这个中介的很尴尬.

Then kept hearing Jansen said there is 1 girl at the yoghurt quite pretty since Monday. Then happened he said he wanted to go AMK. Obviously he wanted to beo that girl la... But sway the girl was absent from the stall.

Had 饺子拉面 (dumpling noodles) at the food court ($4). Serving was large. Then I bought 台湾雪花冰 - 绿茶百香果口味 from Snow Flake ($2.90), shared with PG. This one was nice.

Jansen bought 牛奶红豆口味, shared with SH and Kenny, a bit of normal I think. Then I bought apple cinnamon yoghurt using student ez-link card, $1.50 only. Haha, $2.80 for otherwise. Kenny bought mango yoghurt. SH used Kenny's student pass to 骗过 that seller and he managed to buy strawberry one. Wahaha~

Then after that we ordered Andersen's Couple Fondue ($19.90). The fondue was nice. 钩起去年五月尾的那个巧克力瀑布大餐的回忆. Shared by 5 people. A bit awkward lor, but they a bit full liao, cannot eat too much lor.

The story went like this.
There's this girl who knew boys would like girls having big breasts, hips, etc. So she would use sexual references in order to seduce the boys.
There was this girl's club consists of members who don't go for the sexy line but inner beauty. No one wants to be the member, hence the club is facing the threat of not having enough members and had to close down.

Then here came the girl to save the club. She imparted a lot of things to the girls in the club, like how to seduce the boys, put make up, etc. The outcome was great, she managed to salvage the club. Then along the way, she met a guy whom she liked. He didn't fall to her sexy trick.

But never did she know that actually boys not only like the exterior, but also inner beauty as well.

I feel that the ending could be further improved on. Like the future of the club and what happened to the guy and the female lead ever after.

Moral of story: Be themselves. 做回自己。

1. Sa姨住在士钵亭？
Sa姨自第1集从葡萄牙回到香港，就曾多次强调住在葡萄牙士钵亭。然而葡萄牙根本没有士钵亭这个地方，士钵亭其实是葡萄牙体育会（Sporting Clube de Portugal），通常称为士钵亭（Sporting Lisbon），位于葡萄牙首都里斯本。而士钵亭足球会是曼联球星C·罗的母会，跟波尔图和本菲卡被视为葡萄牙三大豪门，难道Sa姨的真正身份是职业足球员？

2. 荷妈翻译给谁听？
家乐的母亲接受阿庆，并为她学手语，然后到荷妈家用手语跟阿庆沟通。场面虽然感人，但奇就奇在荷妈一家全都懂手语，就连Sa姨也晓得用手语唱《分分钟需要你》哄阿庆开心，为何家乐母亲做手语时，荷妈仍要在旁为她做翻译？究竟翻译给谁听？

3. 阿庆、素秋手机号码一样
在第14集中，阿庆和家乐（杨天经饰）分手后，发短信给管家仔，表示想一个人静一静，当时管家仔那显示阿庆的手机号码为668472XX；岂料在第15集，于素秋放工后推却同事约会，致电管家仔约他打边炉，画面上显示的电话号码竟然跟阿庆的一模一样，也是668472XX。难道一张电话卡还分两个人共享了？

4. 阿秋散心不用车
第16集中，于素秋工作不顺利找管家仔诉苦。当时他俩分别驾车到约会地点见面，之后管家仔为开解于素秋而带她到处吃喝玩乐，最后乘搭渡轮前往北角。下船后于素秋自行乘的士回家，那她之前驾驶的私家车呢？就这样离奇失踪啦？

5. 公公无意寻亲女
公公（周骢饰）最初以为荷妈不是自己亲生女，一度对Sa姨言听计从；其后公公发现Sa姨才是养女，见她经常搬弄是非一度将她赶出家门。既然公公如此重视亲情，在获悉Sa姨是养女后，为何未有寻找亲生女下落的举动？就连荷妈也只字不提，实在于理不合。

6. 阿庆不用照顾婆婆？
阿庆几经辛苦与家乐有情人终成眷属。然而结婚之后，每次荷妈家开饭，也有阿庆的份儿，结了婚等于没结婚似的，莫非她不记得家中还有个患肾病的婆婆要照顾？

7. 阿月欠债无下文
阿月（杨怡饰）为男友Eric做担保向财务公司借钱，其后财务公司到阿月任职的公司追数，害阿月被公司辞退，阿月甚至为免荷妈家受骚扰而搬走，虽然之后荷妈等人接阿月回家，但阿月欠债事件却没有了下文。另外，阿卡炒股欠下60万，被股票经纪两度追数，最后也不了了之，未免令人觉得草率。

8. 阿卡盛夏穿湿褛
在剧中经常讲将近中秋要如何开开心心庆祝，Jo饱又要做超大月饼过节，由此推断剧情讲述的时节应是7月至9月，天气应该非常炎热。但剧中演员经常穿外套和长袖衫，尤其阿卡（陈豪饰）大热天时仍穿湿褛，真是令观众侧目。
