Seems like Billy Bombers loves to give out all sorts of vouchers lo. Keep getting them. But actually I wanted to use the party world voucher. But the voucher can only be used on weekdays or weekend daytimes or Sunday and also it can only be used through prior booking. How the hell do I know everybody's schedule till 15 Feb??
Enough of the vouchers liao.
Today went to get a second hand N73 headset connector (w/o earpiece)... i.e. the connector has a 3.5mm jack for all sorts of earpieces you would want to plug in. IMO it is better than the original one came with the package. $10. It has some more buttons: forward/backward/play/pause/stop/volume tuning/keylock
The only flaw I can find is the hissing sound when the phone is not producing any sound effect.
Tomorrow is the actual driving test liao. Pray hard I can pass...

Some updates
YB wanted to invite me to go over to her house to celebrate Chinese New Year festival on the 9th Feb, which is the 3rd day of CNY. But too bad, I'll still be in Malaysia on that day.
Congrats to Sharon for her overseas study trip to China. 5 months didn't meet liao, must find an auspicious day to meet up. At the same time, update each other with the latest news. I think my impression of her still stop at August 2007. I think likewise for her impression on me lo.
ATP on Monday. Overall it's just another range only... All of us talked about the extra money and whoever got the money shall treat the rest Nasi Lemak. LOL... In the end, no one gets the money and pity Geraint - he just near missed it!! Alamak, next time work harder lo.
Got back at around 11pm le. Wow, the whole building was happening la... For the first time in history, I've seen so many people staying back. Never get to see this in the future though.
Some of the details are not to be revealed. Only I know. Haha

上周末已经跟YS铁定约好接下来的周末一定要出来买牛仔裤。
除了应节之外，也是为衣橱增添新成员喏！
YS果然是‘迟到大王’，迟到足足45分钟……够力！
午餐是很普通的麦当劳套餐，没什么惊喜。主要是填肚罢了。
之后就开始物色裤子。我们以Levi's为起点，看看时下最流行最IN的牛仔裤是长成什么样子的。之后再看看价钱表。哗！贵死人，我的工钱微薄也不需要买到那么好的货色吧？
然后我们就边逛边看有哪些服装店有售卖牛仔裤的。YS提议进FOX店看看，我就很随便的啦，反正看看而已，没有买，就答应一齐进去看。
结果，两人相中同一款牛仔裤！我就跟YS讲：“如果你不要，我就拿了咯”然后YS都不让给我，我就只好叫他去试穿咯。
反正试穿不用钱的嘛！<- 突然间这个变成我的口头禅了
试穿后那件裤给我的视觉效果还不错，容易搭配任何颜色衣服，鞋子也是容易搭配。穿什么都好看。
当然啦，89大元的裤子咧！讲不好看都要打嘴巴咯咧……
之后YS还是犹豫不决要不要买，我就心想必定还有更加物超所值的裤子，就决定在MS误打误撞，碰碰自己的运气咯。
走到G字头的服装店，售货员服务不错，差点聊天起来……=.= 之后她介绍一些我要的款式，试穿后觉得还不错。惊喜来了：那位售货员还‘爆料’：“我还可以帮你改短。”

咨询后，才得知是免费的。赚到！
之后又有惊喜，那件牛仔裤原价$69。收银员跟我说有30%折扣！折扣到来才$48.30。真的给我赚到啦！

All hype about The Golden Path a.k.a 黄金路
Recently, as I was surfing the WWW, especially the forums, the very obvious topic to talk about is this recent production by Singapore's Mediacorp. It has become the 街坊话题, 网上话题 or 聊天话题 liao...
Though they brand this as Mediacorp's 戏剧情牵25的重头剧, I didn't find it attracting as I was not in Singapore when the first 5 episodes aired. But very quickly, I got to know the story, in a very agar way.
Here are some of the pointers I observed:
1. They found the acting in which 蔡佩璇 acted as 肉骨妹 in the show is very good.
2. The response to opening/theme song is 褒贬不一.
3. Like to make speculations to the ending and spoilers are always found.
4. Didn't quite like the ending.
First of all: last week, when I met up with the Beach Boys... Jordan told me his opinion to why the show is being called 黄金路. He said that the show name came up as a result of 2 coincident events. The first one as being the 贼赃黄金 while the second one is because in the story, one family is surnamed as 黄 and the other as 金. Quite concident isn't it?
Next, people actually 'duk爆' the official website. Reason being the inconsistency between the write up at the site and the real show. Maybe they changed the script at the very last minute? Still there must be consistency between the introduction and the real thing. See example at http://8.mediacorptv.sg/thegoldenpath/
Quoted: Forced by circumstances, Jinlong has to leave Singapore. As for Kaijie, following investigation by his superiors, he has also gone into hiding. After much effort, Jinlong manages to trace the whereabouts of Kaijie, with the intention of killing him. In acutal fact: Did you see 金龙 turn himself in? Did you see 金龙追查凯杰的下落?

In actual fact: 林菲 didn't die at the end. Instead, she lived happily with her son lo!

Oh ya, it has been a few months' time since my last outing with Chee Wee at Cafe Cartel at Plaza Singapura.
So this time round, we met up at Billy Bombers at Marina Square.
I ordered Fried Chicken meal (aiya, come up this myself la... the actual name I don't know la... some bi-li-ba-la English...). The rest of them ordered Naked gun a.k.a super upsized burger.
Oh ya, also ordered 开胃菜.
The plate of meal served was a very big sized one, heng I could finish it la. Quite nice.

This time round, I had a mission to complete. That is to buy a pair of canvas/leather covered shoes. Chuan is the consultant, which I think 废的. lol
Ok, we went to Queensway Shopping Centre at noon, whereby it's the right place for shoes and clothes etc. Upon reaching there, had a meal first. I was not hungry at that time, just had a chicken burger and nothing else.
Then, after providing ourselves with energy and the stomach to work, we then hunt for the right pair of shoes. I kept searching high and low, even had to turn my head up and down to look for it before I finally settled down on the canvas Nike shoes. (No pic to PO) Total damage: $99
Mission accomplished! But that's not the end.
We proceeded to Novena Square. Chuan wanted to look for animal shirt, ok la... At least he bought something for himself.
Had a very early dinner. OMG... I also don't know why. Had Korean Cuisine. Their barley tea tasted like 超淡味的咖啡. The hotplate Chicken was alright. The chicken soup was obviously kimchi soup. Total damage: $12.
Then I said I wanted to meet up with "Beach Boys", we went separate ways. In the end I found their hiding place @ partyworld... Very ulu place la...
There, they were so high lor... the whole place is in a mess, with newspaper, snacks lying around. LOL... Stand-by area then you know. *grin*
Only left the last 1 hour, and they were skipping the songs after just enjoyed it till the chorus. I only sang 徐若瑄 + 曹格 (I Still Believe) with Jordan.
And the 翻版费玉清又复活了！

烦啊！而且我相信上头的应该对我有反感咯……虽然说这里改一下那里改一下是免费的，但要不是因为当初直接丢东西给我做，我也不会那么犯贱找碴啦！
这次的考验真的比07年12月来得更艰巨。对我来说，目前剩下的挑战就是这个了。不需要烦年尾的。
话说早在去年尾我就拟定好上半年的‘叶子’（<-密语来的，我知道就好了）了，并清楚表明。可是结果是我完全没有预料的，也是最坏的结果。搞什么啊！
后来，我就去力争那些属于我的东西。终于得到啦，这次我不管人家怎么看我，我自己始终觉得我给的理由合情合理，人家要得到的都不能给跟我一样好的理由。不是我要拽，我的理由大家都知道。另一方面，世上没有一样东西是十全十美的，没有一样是能满足众人的。我能了解‘他’的感受，这个位子真不好做，给我都不要啦。
有些更加够力，之前最热门期间，X却'叶子'，现在还要再来一次，看到都火大。不是说不能'叶子'，但要看看下几时'叶子'，试探反应嘛，要自动一点。最可怜的是那些两头不着岸的，真的是被当替死鬼料咯。
帮人在任何时刻是看情面，也看双方面的。但假如是单方面，那就太不应该了，终告失败。做好人是可以，但不能做到底做到出位，不给人欺负都假。说我自私？说我霸道？说我人品不好？怎么讲我不管，何不尝自问是谁恶人先告状？
所谓‘命里有时终须有，命里无时莫强求’，劝其他的看开点啦！

Completed my driving lesson!
Took a half day off on Thursday then went for driving lesson... Before that, "ManaGer" actually he called me to swap OD... But I refused la and used this driving lesson as an excuse. Ok la, I know actually it's the same at the end of day but ultimately it more more less less affect your mood for that day de mah.
The driving lesson was ok, it was the last official lesson for class 3 manual.
Luck was not on my side... It rained during the lesson but otherwise before and after the lesson. =.=
Then it rained so heavily that I mistook the middle pole as the front pole when doing vertical parking. Malu lo...
Took one day off on Friday, booked driving revision lesson liao. Then uncle smsed me, telling me his new car (to be elaborated in later part of this post) plate number. Nothing special, just a very normal car plate number.
The driving lesson was ok, much better than the one on Thursday la... At least no downroll, no pole mistaken, bla bla bla... LOL I saw the car no. 185, which YZ kept telling me the instructor is #%!*($... LOL But I never to get to see his face lo. Saw WL there...
After which, I realised my ez-link card was running out of $$, so on the way home, I went to JP to top up and then walk walk see see lo...
Then after that went to meet up uncle and we headed down to the car dealer there to collect his new car.
It's Honda Fit 1.3GF, a new model which was just released in Japan on October 2007. The car is pearl white in colour, a colour which goes well with the privacy glass. The car is big, much bigger than I expected la... Then because of the car has just relased, the owner manual is only available in Japanese. Can't read lo. No catalogue to browse through as well. =.=
I like the meter, everything should be there is there, and there is extra infomation presented, including those funny looking icons... Don't know what do they stand for. I also like the calculation (or estimation) made by the car on average fuel consumption, instant fuel consumption and the estimated distance before the fuel tank is empty.
Now main focus is to fight for the CNY leave and to pass TP test on the first attempt which is on 1 Feb.
For those who don't know how Honda Fit looks like, here's the picture:

SingTel and SingNet
Recently have been experiencing problems related to the above-mentioned 2 names.
For SingTel, I've been experiencing no network phenomenon whenever I do OD at Tuas area, starting at about 7pm and lasts till about 11pm. I'm using 2G network only.
The phone will either display "Please select network" option or don't even display the network, i.e. the no signal bar and network name. I thought only at ground area will have this problem. But this also happens even when you're at a higher altitude.
A search done on HardWareZone forum shows that I'm not the only one experiencing this problem. A lot of people also kena can't make calls or they can't hear the other party speaking and they reflect this on newspaper and SingTel. What I understand is a lot of foreign workers are using SingTel's HiCard which runs on 2G network and perhaps jammed the whole network.
Hope SingTel can resolve this problem as soon as possible.
For SingNet, recently keep experiencing disconnection or the connection don't run at all.
So called up SingNet and they've laid a new type of cable capable of high transfer speed.
Did a test at speedtest.net and it showed much pretty close result as to the plan offers, i.e. 297x kb/s VS 500-600kb/s for download speed. And I can load youtube videos or download things at faster rates liao. Quite happy lor.

Little update here
Morning wake up at 9.
After breakfast (oops, I 差一点 written as brakefast! LOL), went to make a pair of new spectacle (oops, I 差一点 written as spectable! LOL). It's a half-framed one. Aiya, difficult to describe it here la (because my vocabulary is very PTE LTD...) So will just PO a picture here. Yeah, Chuan will love my 自恋照... OMG
Then on the way went to order a new fridge. It's a Toshiba 401L model. Quite energy efficient. 852 kWh per year, don't know true or not? But anyway, it's cheap can liao. $7XX.
On the way home, 巧碰 Calvin... 久违不见的Calvin! It's more than a year since I last saw him. He didn't change much. Can't tell he's also NSF too. At that point, he's off to somewhere la...
After which, went to see how's the new car doing. Will do a writeup on next post.

iTouch
Met up with Chuan yesterday 2.40pm. He was late by 10 mins and blamed everything on public transport. Poor public transport operators!
Settled the lunch at JEC. Went over to LJS but it was fully occupied. Went upstairs to the Kopitiam. Got vacant seats there and we decided to have lunch there. I had Kimchi fried rice and he got 铁板鸡肉套餐 as lunch.
After that, we walked to Creative warehouse. It was cloudy and started to drizzle. But never mind, as soon as we got into the shelter, it started to rain heavier.
The showroom was big and very less crowded. Not much people there except for 2 of us, the salesperson there and 3 guys. That's it.
We played with their MP3 line-up. The software loaded is quite laggy. It is obvious when you play MP3 files and watch the timer. The display is good, but I don't like the products' ergonomics. Sorry but no offence to all creative lovers!
After that, Chuan wanted to have a look at iTouch. So we took train to Orchard where there's an Apple specialty shop at Wheelock Place just to have a look at iTouch. As soon as we got there, Chuan was so attracted to iTouch that he bought it at the end. 8GB went for $498. Additional AC power adaptor as a bundle. Good buy huh!
Then we headed to Far East Plaza to get drinks! Got a treat from Chuan (功夫奶茶). Hmm... Chuan, next time must spend more so that I get to enjoy lots of treats every now and then. Haha!
