Work: Day 29 & 30 + end of week 6 and start of weekend + Saizeriya and Tsujiri

This week has been rather tired. And I didn't go site at all! Mentally and physically exhausted, partly because of 掃墓, both days on weekends had to wake up at 6.30 am and went to sleep at 12.30 am ds.

Found out yesterday that by walking to the next bus stop where 985 calls, I could save 3 cents. Haha, it may seems not a lot, but it is when I make the same route everyday after work.

*Saw Calvin at lift lobby downstairs! Heng he didn't recognise me. Aigoo... Such a long time since I last saw him. 我要澄清的是 a lot of people think by living super near to friends I could bump into them frequently. But the truth turns out otherwise 好不好?*

Next week start night shift... Though it's not a permanent affair nor weekly affair, still wonder how it goes but for now I can conclude that it's very familiar to K9 days.

*Hope what WK said after yesterday's lunch was unture. I just can't find a logical reasoning to it. If it was true, then I would have been notified at that point of time right? Then I could have taken corrective actions liao mah.*

Anyway, this has been bothering me, more or less, for the whole afternoon... Shan't let it bother me as weekend is comingggggg!!!

PG jin du! 7.19 am whatsapp said haven't board train... 7.46.52 am still can tap out and gotten his ride free!

Met another staff called Jason during lunch. Can't imagine introducing myself to people I see almost everyday at work after 1.5 months into work liao.

I can't understand this: was debating along with JM and others against P over relationship and marriage issues. P thinks that guys lagging behind girls by 2 years due to NS isn't an issue because in terms of courtship, everything doesn't matter if the guy and girl truly love each other. How is that NOT an issue? I really can't understand that. By lagging behind 2 years means lagging behind a lot of things. Firstly, females start to gain work experience and climb the career ladder much earlier than guys. Then, they would have a substantial amount of savings. Lastly, due to the pride or inner feeling or whats not, guys do feel that sense of insecurity or pressure or stress. Of course the reply was wait till he start dating during this phase of his like (i.e. working life), see if his perception towards this issue would change.

This perception does change from dating during student phase to dating during working phase to getting ready to marry to settling down and start family. One should really look far into future, think practically and plan early, especially in view of the high cost of living here. Housing and raising a child these two things are the weights that tie down the married couple. So, proper planning would have avoided a lot of inconveniences and money wasted(?)... His views on this are a bit too simplicitic and ideal liao.

Perhaps what JM said was quite true. Different cultures and upbringings taught people to think differently. So in a way, he isn't wrong to say that too, but he would be able to see the bigger picture if he tries to link different factors together.

Suddenly, the plan on Monday has changed, aigoo, I would be making trips around Singapore on Monday baituoo. Left office at 6 pm. Took MRT down to Plaza Sing to meet sis and cousin. They were standing in front of The Body Shop which is just in front of the ascending escalator and yet I didn't see them. Baituo...

Off we went to Saizeriya! Surprised to see JM there coz she said she was going out after work. Anyway, the restaurant wasn't that crowded until a queue started to form up and we were given a big table ds.

*Those poly kias damn noisy. Macam treat the place like their party and it's so noisy that the waitress who took our orders turned her head and glared at them. It's much noisier than a wet market!!! Can't even enjoy our meal in peace.*

The girls didn't go Tampines but went VivoCity instead before making their way to Dhoby Ghaut. Should have gone to Helix Bridge ds. Ordered spaghetti cabonara ($5.90), black pepper chicken ($6.90), cheese chicken ($6.90) and pineapple pizza ($7.90). All were quite decent IMO. Perhaps to nitpick: the chicken was a tad hard and the serving for the chicken chop was a little small. Maybe cooked for too long?

Damage: $0 (total $27.60)

Then went to Tanjong Pagar for desserts @ Tsujiri. Let them try out the legendary Sunrise ice-kacang ($12). The cashier warned me that the ice-kacang was quite big sized. Aigoo, it's not me who's the only one to have that baituo. In the end, the girls found the taste got more and more intense as the eating went to the bottom of the bowl and had problem finishing the desserts. Of course they gave credits to it as being one of the most unique and best desserts around lol. Just that the strong taste of matcha was overwhelming for them.

Sunrise Uji ($12)

Damage: $12

After the desserts frenzy, went to Lotte Mart nearby to let cousin Bought the Kkokkomyeon bowl noodles ($1.70), the candy stick ($0.80) and peach flavoured sweets ($1). Only took the peach sweets, the rest are for cousin to bring back to Malaysia.

Damage: $3.50

*Hmm, the Indian shop is now gone. Now even the Yunnan bookshop is undergoing renovation. All the very childhood memories would be gone...*
