Meetup with Jordan and Nicholas (aka CNY clothes shopping part 2)

Following up on the post, yesterday met up with Jordan and Nicholas for 2nd part of CNY clothes shopping spree! Jordan can be my another image consultant and both of them are sensitive to fashion, so it's a good idea to pull them out to gai gai on a lovely weekday afternoon!

Yang!

Side-track a bit...
Nicholas whatsapped me on Tues that he wanted to meet me slightly earlier by 30 mins yesterday. Of course, being something unexpected, I queried him what was the matter. He said he had something to tell me after he did some observations during the JB trip on 19th. At first I was quite confused: was he going to talk something bad about me? Then he said it's about someone else. Of course I wanted to have convenience so I replied him can talk over whatsapp or phone. He insisted on meeting up in person because he felt it's better to talk in person.

Back on track...
I reached Plaza Sing exit late by 20 mins. LOL~ But I don't think Nicholas need 30 mins to do explanation. By the time I reached there, Nicholas was with his female friend. Reason? Passed something to her. Well, after hearing what Nicholas has to say about this person, from the '秘密' at IT Roo cafe to fighting (actually is playing fun) outside Maco Vintage to pushing Nicholas to WY, I do can feel a bit about it. Why 'a bit' is because this person doesn't over-exaggerate and pour his emotions on me, so I'm quite neutral about it.

Meanwhile I whatsapp Jordan asking if he's reaching Dhoby Ghaut. No reply until almost 15 mins later then he said he at Cathay.

I can't guarantee that the '噢!如果我沒有講錯,就是他!' reply from ZX is referring to the same thing Nicholas was talking about. It seemed to me that both ZX and Wiyatno know each other's existence despite me thinking it's the first time they met for the first time. But somehow I did have some suspicions. Ultimately, I don't dare to go to ZX to clarify. LOL~

After Nicholas revealed his concerns, we proceeded to meet Jordan at Cathay. The first thing we did wasn't began shopping for clothes, but Jordan dragged us to a photo booth to take some customised Frankenstein-themed photos, which would then be uploaded to Cathay facebook. If the faces are tagged, then would stand a chance to be selected as the most creative photo and win the platinum movie suite gift card. Out of curiousity, we took a couple of photos but only one was uploaded! Baituo~

high

*Cathay was pretty much deserted in the weekdays! Great for shopping. But seemed to me that business is hard to do nowadays, especially online shopping has taken the world by storm, well, at least in SG jek.

After the fun, we first patronised a shop called Furrmuse. Shirts and pants looked nice, a bit Korean style too, but price was a bit steep for me. Jordan said just take a look and see what's in the trend, before making our way to places with cheaper stuff. LOL~ That's a good idea too! But usually it's 一分錢一分貨,好貨不便宜、便宜沒好貨的說。Without buying anything, we left the place then went up to level 2's VOL.TA Marque. It's a bigger shop than the former, but the prices are around the same, or maybe slightly lower. But not to my style ds.

*Surprised that Billy Bombers has moved out of Cathay and next tenant is Saveur. 最近看到Saveur急著擴張業務的說,之前才在Purvis Street開另一家分店,現在進駐Cathay.

Was telling them the weather recently was quite nice, i.e. no rain for quite long time already, and I want to cycle. Both of them immediately 嗆聲 say I could have called them ds. Aigoo, the irony was that both of them were so busy with their schedule - Jordan went cruise for a week(?) and Nicholas had other gatherings with his other groups of friends, possibly need to spend quality time with father too.

Then went Lowry's Farm at Plaza Sing, over there, Jordan advised I need to have some 材質感 clothes, meaning plain T-shirt is a no-no. Too plain may be too boring and looks saggy lol... Still, didn't buy anything. Next, it was JRunway - Japanese style which I'll never understand. A bit too bizzare and daring to my liking. Some T-shirt are so causal and loose fitting that, they are a bit western style I would say...

Then went up to pay a visit to Uniqlo, again. Took some khaki pants and slim- + skinny-fit jeans and a long sleeve shirt to fitting room to try out. The shirt was a bit transparent - too thin le, nn exposed! Eek! The khaki pants didn't look particularly nice, not colours but cutting, according to Jordan. As for jeans, the slim-fit looked better than skinny-fit though I could fit in both la. 腿還算細的說~嘻嘻!While I really liked the colour and the fitting in one jean, somemore selling at an affoardable price of $29.90. I can't confirm if I have similar colour at home. In the end, didn't buy too. But it's kinda 100% buying if after I can double confirm ds.

Then Jordan asked me to consider cropped pants - this means that I had to wax leg hair away. Aigoo! It's quite a lot ds... *Hin...*

After the shopping at Plaza Sing, around 3 pm, they two were hungry because they didn't have lunch. So lunch was at 김대문 which Nicholas and me missed out the last time! It was a first time for Jordan though. Hehe~ Xyy ds... Then Nicholas had his spicy shredded chicken set ($6.50), Jordan had the legendary fried rice set and we shared a serving of the spicy tteokbokki ($5). Didn't have any main meal for that late lunch coz I had yong tau foo lunch at home and wasn't feeling hungry!^^

第一次光顧김대문
大讚泡菜炒飯夠味好吃

 好辣!好爽!

Damage: $0 (Thanks Nicholas for treating the tteokbokki!)

Jordan complemented the fried rice as very tasty! Glad that he enjoyed the food as recommendation by us. :D I showed them some of our POP photos taken when Jordan and I POPed out of Tekong. Nicholas POPed out one batch later. Yang when they showed some interests in the photo as they commented them, especially Nicholas, who almost couldn't recognise one the guys in the photo was GYS! After the late lunch, Nicholas xyy said he wanted cold stone creamery as ice-cream desserts. Jordan sang along too. Aigoo... They both super yang lor.

Over at cold stone creamery, they actually wanted a bigger serving with single flavours. But as there were so many flavours to choose from, Jordan suggested might as well split into two flavours with smaller serving. Yang! So at the end, these were what we had at this place:

1. Chocolate devotion: contains fudge, chocolate chip and brownies ($6 for LIKE IT size)
2. Cheesecake fantasy: contains blueberries, strawberries and graham cracker crust ($6 for LIKE IT size and additional $1.20 for waffles bowl)

哇哈哈!*瘋婆笑聲*

Damage: $13.20

As we took a break from the shopping, we continued our chats from 김대문. Very yang. Firstly, we talked about JX. Jordan 就在這時爆JX的料——以前當兵時代,在睡覺的時候,JX會用枕頭打JordanAigoo... Is this considered 夢遊?Then he described JX as blur and not aware to his surroundings. He commented that during the Taiwan trip before ORD(?), Jordan 放不下心讓JX一個人到處走. For e.g. if JX wanted to look at something in a shop, the whole group likely would stop and accompany him into the shop, lest later he don't know will roam where... Well, sometimes it's hard to self-control yourself as external factors play a part too. Looking into his family situation, it's no wonder that his mum is protective of her two sons. But hopefully his job will nurture him so that he could be sensitive to what's going on to his surroundings.

Next, the topic of interest was GYS. That fateful ugly incident happened on 26 Jun 2010 was brought up again. Coz it really made me feel shocked and boiling at that point of time and puzzled me after that. We all know that he can't exercise self-control on both his actions and words, the way he talks, he does, always seems to have the 'go-all-the-way-to-extreme' feel to it, hence the 'extreme' nickname I gave to him. But why suddenly got such behaviour when he was totally alright before the incident? Nicholas said he probably thought we're taking him for a ride as we didn't give him an exact location of where we were. But the truth was we were roaming around Somerset area, how to expect to give him an exact answer, arbo everybody sitting down, not moving anywhere and waiting for him to find us meh? Sorry hor, I don't want to waste time like that... And there're phones wat, could have used phone to call when reaching around Somerset area mah. What's so big deal about it.

I purposely brought up the 'seletar camp incident' for Jordan to explain to Nicholas. Back then, in 2nd year of NS, Jordan described as he almost have died from GYS doings. SSF, want to rush to be first to reach bunk and go for shower so that no need to wait for cubicles. Don't know what's up with that kind of superior/kiasu feeling, no prize for being first place leh! So basically when going up the stairs, this GYS kept pushing people away to make way for him to speed up to his bunk on dunno-what-level-as-long-as-not-ground-floor level. Jordan happened to be in front of him and when Jordan reached his bunk level, GYS just pushed him forward towards the latch until Jordan's barang-barang flew out of the latch into the air. Jordan himself, half of the body already out of the latch. 幾危險有沒有?!

Last thing chatted about GYS was about the field camp. In a nutshell, he committed some very trivial mistakes and was kena exposed by PS. But he die die don't want admit and in the end dragged the whole platoon down. Really stupid and dumb. What can the PS do to him if he had admitted to it? The mistake he committed was so trivial that at most is award some guard duties mah... =.=

Briefly remembered that we also talked about him bringing in lotsa snacks and even whole tray of canned drinks into Tekong as the vending machine ran out of drinks quite often. That's a good point of him but also could see his 'extreme' behaviour, so what if bring in so many snacks? Unhealthy leh... Can finish it within a week? Later sick how? Got prize being in 1st place?

I even added on that last time when he said he want to quit. Look at now, didn't he finish the whole uni course and graduated? Talk is really cheap for him. Shouldn't have wasted so much time listening to his ranting/complaints/yaya-ness... =.=

Then while talking about field camp, Nicholas was surprised to know what I fainted twice within a day and Jordan was jelly and jokingly said my acting was so apt and just in time. Aigoo... I may forget what I did during BMT but this is something which I will remember for life lo. Big incident leh. And I will narrate it to others when talk about BMT lol. Haha...

Jordan 爆料 that last time Wiyatno used to dance inside the armskote and then kena caught. They were both armskote arm, together with Shawn and someone from section 3. Aigoo... Funny incidents there.

Hearty chat. Always do and will always do.

Spent some quality time at food. After the desserts, it was about 5.30 pm and Nicholas left via Somerset to Vivo.

分開前拍個照先!
洋!

We two continued to visit Uniqlo, Vintage and Recoil @ 313. Vintage has some nice nice shirts (some are a bit Korean style) and the prices are more pocket friendly than People of Asia (PoA). Shall buy from them next time if I'm looking for shirts. Yang! At recoil, Jordan tried out the blazers. But he's too big even for the size XL. Baituo. No wonder Jordan kept picking that he's fat.

Next it was H&M. One of their khaki pants ($49.90) was nice, but only in button fashion. I wanted zip one coz more convenient. Heard from Nicholas that people living in cold weather prefer button to zip because won't make 'fatal' mistake lol. Aigoo, SG so hot, no need button la. At the end also walked out empty-handed.

Visited Robinson in the former Heeren, CK and Metro at Paragon and Topman at Knightsbridge. Shirts are very expensive at Robinson, saw one swimming trunk selling for almost $120! *Shrieks* Nothing to see at CK and Metro. Then tried out khaki pants at Topman, but Jordan said not as nice as H&M one. $59.90 Aigoo... Didn't buy that.

Lastly, tried out our luck at Far East. TBH, things at Far East aren't exactly cheap as people perceive them to be. At two different shops selling khaki pants, one selling $59 another selling around $65. Both are expensive than the established brands such as H&M and Uniqlo in this case! Not as if they are some famous brand or what, the pants also made by some ulu brand, or even unbranded at all. Probably wouldn't buy anything from there le lo.

About the pants tried at these two shops, the first one (about $65 one), was either too tight (M size) or too loose at waist area (XL size). Awkward feeling ds. Then the second one was much better, would have seriously considered if they have size 32, though 31 also can la. Slim fit looks great too! Also never buy in the end. Basically, I didn't buy anything yesterday. But had learnt much valuable fashion lessons from Jordan and Nicholas. Understand that Jordan couldn't have the final say to what I wear but I really want real guidance into fashion ds.

Ended scouting for pants, Jordan suddenly for cravings for dinner at those local stalls at level 5. He had 雲吞麵 ($4) while I had 炸雞扒麵 ($4). Food was decent enough, but not too fantastic. Jordan saw our POP video and he was quite absorbed to it. Baituo... *回憶過去,痛苦的相似忘不了~~~* Shared with him that I'm on a diet, i.e. dinner eating only 2-3 spoonful of rice and trying to cut down on snacks and tidbits (they are very irresistable when one's whole day at home ds), instilling some kind of self-discipline on my food consumption. He said he seldom buy snacks and sometimes sis and mum don't even eat rice at dinner, but mum would cook just for Jordan's sake. He also mentioned that his upcoming internship would very likely be moving around Australia, staying for a short period at each location. Aigoo... Means it's going to be quite busy le shuo, just by moving stuff alone... At last, he's graduating end of this year and soon he would be back in SG for good and it's much easier to ask him out gai gai lo! *Yang!*

*Saw Jia Xin Jewelry diagonally opposite to the food store. Aigoo... When JX opened shop and we aren't aware of it? LOL

難得看到他笑到那麼燦爛
今天的他完全是洋去!
 我都要閃一邊垂掉去

Suddenly, Jordan said he's still not hungry after that plate of wanton mee. Aigoo! I already feeling full after my 炸雞扒麵 le. And the most shocking was that he wanna go Paris Baguette to eat some cakes coz he hadn't been to Paris Baguette SG outlet before so he wanted to try it. OMGGGAAKKKKK!!!! *眼睛睜大大粒* *心跳加速* *shrieking loud in my heart! 갸아아아악!!!!!!* Therefore he suggested to go there after the meal. WQBX ds, he totally XYY~

Luckily Paris Baguette haven't close shop. So we had camembert cheese cake ($7) and strawberry flavoured royal pudding ($4.50), sat there and continued our HTHT... Halfway through, Nicholas called and asked us what we were doing now and he requested me to ask Jordan how he think about Wiyatno. Aigoo... But I can't bring in the topic so directly as it would be awkward and expose everything ds. So I first bring in WX to Jordan, said recently got interact more and asked how he think about him. He then answered that WX like to 講廢話. Aigoo... Then came in Wiyatno, he replied that Wiyatno is not bitchy but whiny and also likes to 'sainai' aka 撒嬌 even to guys. OMGAAAKKK!!!!

Then talked about BMI, that if Jordan wanted to slim down to BMI of 22, he needed to shed about 10 kg of weight. But he looks so perfectly normal right now!!! I need to shave another 2-3 kg off from my current weight to achieve an BMI of 22.

Moving on to jobs, told him about my plight and he said oil and gas jobs those need to travel to offshore a lot are very tiring one. Didn't know his father also works in this line ds, a lot of times overseas, no doubt pay is good but can be quite tiring too.

The day ended when we saw breads thrown away and cakes kept in fridge by the staff. I would be super delighted if they sell those breads cheap cheap instead of throwing them away. Their breads are so nice ds! *drooling*

Cheesecake好乳酪喔
好好吃的說
至於Royal pudding
我們兩個拼命豎拇指
太好吃了!
