Get Smart + Wii

Went out with campmates to Plaza Singapura on a beautiful Thrusday afternoon to have a very beautiful lunch.

Since no one drives, we had to take MRT there. (Now ever since I learnt how to drive, taking public transport is like hassle, especially when it's time consuming)

The list of people attended the outing
1. Me
2. Edwin
3. Jia Yun
4. Jason
5. Yat Kan (神秘客)

Had Peg-Leg set at Long John Silver. As usual la... It's chicken meal lai de.

After which we went to the arcade at the MRT station to see how formidable Edwin and Jia Yun are in their Initial D4 battles. They were so cheapstake in the sense that they squeezed out the max possible for every credit. Walao eh~ Nvm... Poor NSF

They jio-ed me to start the Initial D4. $5 for a licence is not a problem, the problem lies with how much you going to spend for the coming up training to gain the items, reputation. It's a lot lor! Haiz, still considering.

Test drove a bit, using Edwin's car (forgotten what's the model liao) on the easiest track available. I found that the steering wheel is super light without the feedback. Not used to it la. Aren't the steering wheel supposed to have more resistance to move when car is at high speeds?

For the movie, I found it as super crappy + funny. I loved 2 scenes especially: the subdue kissing part and the pants torn apart part. Super funny la! And Max (not the dog Max lol) his voice is also hilarious as well. The moment I heard him speaking, I would have the tendency to laugh liao. Overall, it's like superhero movie like that lor. LOL

Actually, we wanted to watch the Japanese '10 promises to my dog'. But others said must wait for them so that the whole lot of us can watch together. Ok lor, we tried to accommodate them.

Next day, we have our newest member coming - the Nintendo Wii! All thanks to Joseph! I wouldn't mind staying as long as I can play the Wii. The wii is super addictive for me lor. The whole day I was playing it.

For those who want to own the Wii, very simple. Just pay up and you have a portion share of the wii liao lor! Those who don't pay up shall not have their Mii stored inside, not even touch the wii!

I think for the first day, me, Edwin and SK were the greatest user. Followed by Timothy, Shi Hao, Joseph and Te Pang. SK and Timothy formed up tennis team, me and Edwin a team and lastly Te Pang and Shi Hao a team. Three teams compete in tennis the Best out of 5 game mode. Me and Edwin team considered not too bad, given that we thrashed 5 times consecutively. LOL! Te Pang and Shi Hao performed the worst. LOL!

Bowling wise, I held the highest record for the first day - 174. SK claimed he's pro at bowling, but he only got 149. Wahaha! My aim is to hit at least 200 points for bowling. Wish me luck!

For Mario Kart, Joseph is super cunning. Walao eh, always the first to complete the race. =.=

During OD, I found Wei Hao also picking up Cantonese dialect. He thinks that Cantonese speaking people when they speak mandarin is super sexy. We exchanged each other with what we've learnt. I realised that Wei Hao is good at listening but vocab and speaking wise is weak. For me, I'm worse than Wei Hao at listening but vocab and speaking is way better. Vincent is the best liao la...

A lot of people find that I have the Malaysian accent, aka 联邦腔. But I don't find it lei. My Chinese quite good one de lei... Perhaps it's the '' word I keep using which makes them feels that I have the accent ba. I have no problem when writing.

I believe in the saying, quoted from the 麻坡的华语 video:
There's no standardisation for any language, only localisation of the language.
语言没有标准性,只有地方性。

If you speak cantonese in Hong Kong or KL or Ipoh, nobody is going to condemn you that you're not speaking the standard language because everyone is speaking that! There's nothing wrong with Malaysian accent, I do admit it's funny, but it makes you stand out from the rest lor. Singaporeans just don't get used to it.

Then Wei Hao keep correcting my English... The word 'Sony' and 'odour'. He said every OD with me he must correct my English. OMG~ But I couldn't help it. Don't know how I got a B3 for O levels.
