Recently have been experiencing problems related to the above-mentioned 2 names.
For SingTel, I've been experiencing no network phenomenon whenever I do OD at Tuas area, starting at about 7pm and lasts till about 11pm. I'm using 2G network only.
The phone will either display "Please select network" option or don't even display the network, i.e. the no signal bar and network name. I thought only at ground area will have this problem. But this also happens even when you're at a higher altitude.
A search done on HardWareZone forum shows that I'm not the only one experiencing this problem. A lot of people also kena can't make calls or they can't hear the other party speaking and they reflect this on newspaper and SingTel. What I understand is a lot of foreign workers are using SingTel's HiCard which runs on 2G network and perhaps jammed the whole network.
Hope SingTel can resolve this problem as soon as possible.
For SingNet, recently keep experiencing disconnection or the connection don't run at all.
So called up SingNet and they've laid a new type of cable capable of high transfer speed.
Did a test at speedtest.net and it showed much pretty close result as to the plan offers, i.e. 297x kb/s VS 500-600kb/s for download speed. And I can load youtube videos or download things at faster rates liao. Quite happy lor.
