Didn't want to blog this, but morning went toilet do business, it was super black in colour! Quite horrifying but after thinking about it, probably was due to the charcoal burger I had at PizzaBox.
Weather on Mon was rather bad, but Tues it was sunny! So I decided to go down to Cathay to help uncle buy his new Galaxy Note 3 and then went for sec sch. Went to photocopy birth cert before making the trip down to Cathay by bus 185/106.
While making my way to the ATM, saw Ben Chew there. Don't know was it my hiding skill quite good or he really didn't notice I was nearby, he never recognise me lol.
The shop website put $860 for this phone but when I checked again in person, they say is $868! WTH... If you want to sell at $868 then put it as $868 la. At least won't feel so cheated. Anyway, as I merely helping uncle to buy and I don't want to waste my time coming down just to know it's expensive and not buying, I just kept quiet and finish the deal asap.
But the service was quite ok, phone was sealed and they opened right in front of me. After checking the screen, stylus pen, buttons, I faster leave the shop...
Went Shine Korea @ Burlington to check out the Korean instant noodles. There's one type of instant noodles which I wanted to buy for friends and 嬸嬸 to try it out because they loved spicy stuff. Sadly, the shop sell so many instant noodles, 偏偏就是沒售賣我要的快熟麵. Thought it might be out of stock. Without buying anything, I walked towards City Hall.
Went Suntec City. The thought of buying some pastries from Bread Society did flash across my mind. Fortunately, I did manage to hold myself back, saved a few bucks there! Then went over to Marina Square. Muji managed to get some cakes and 'breads' this time round. Again, my resistance to temptations was really good - didn't buy anything in the end.
Visited Shine Korea again, they also didn't sell the instant noodles, guessed the shop didn't import the noodles into SG. But bought banana milk and the cinnamon tea for uncle's family as a nice gesture.
*Marina Square is decorating the central atrium for CNY liao lo. Ahh, the CNY feel is getting nearer day by day liao.
Initially wanted to take bus from Dhoby Ghaut (if Shine Korea Burlington got sell the stuff I wanted), but in the end took MRT back to Lakeside to pass the phone to uncle. It rained around Jurong area. A bit sian coz carrying so many stuff + need to attend dinner gathering later, still need to use the umbrella.
After staying there for about half an hour to cool down, went out again to Jem by 335.

Was a tad late but that's ok, coz James more late. LOL~ The girls wanted to try out Miam Miam (FB page) as they felt the ambience was quite good. Ordered the following dishes:
1. French toast ($9.80, me)
2. Earl grey tea ($6.20, YB)
3. Bolognese ($14.80, YB)
4. Teriyaki spaghetti ($15.80, Jess)
5. Squid ink spaghetti ($16.80, James)
6. Riz noir black rice ($16.50, Sharon)
7. Chocolate molleaux ($9.80, shared)
8. Cookies and cream parfait ($11.80, shared)
Had the cheapest one coz wanted to go budget. Can't comment on the food except for mine one and the desserts. The French toast was really really nice. The bread was super soft after some toasting and after pouring the maple syrup an dapplying the cream on it = perfect. It's really nice and rather big serving on its own where you can no need order other main dishes liao.
The parfait was average - looks like I can even do it on my own lo. The molleaux was a little bit disappointing as not much choco lava flow when split open, almost none.
Took a small bite of Sharon's riz noir black rice, which came way too late upon our reminder. It's actually squid ink mixed with rice and not too bad really, quite delicious.

After the dinner, we sat there and chit chatted, mainly about relationship stuff. See? My theory of 8:2 on YB was damn accurate one lor, everybody even YB laughed and agreed with me. Also told them about HL + AJM incident. As usual, they were rather cool about it. LOL~
Left home at 10.15 pm.
8/1/2014 14th Interview
Mousehunt winter event has ended and Festive Snow Fort now becomes a vacant lot, quickly move back to previous place before this thing started.
Afternoon got interview. Took bus 157 then changed to 171 to reach NEA super on time, heng reached bus stop just before the bus 157 came, otherwise I think I would be late liao. Another guy came in about 5 mins later and I guessed he's also interview for the same position. Think I was a bit too tensed up during the interview because there were 4 interviewers. That could affect performance. Throughout the whole interview, they didn't show interest or enthusiaism in wanting to know me better, guessed it's a bit bx already. There would be only one interview and I would know the result 2-3 weeks later. Nonetheless, keeping my fingers crossed and wish I could get the job.
*Walked the wrong way, no access to bus stop outside Netwon MRT where I could take 66...
Reached back home at 5, went for a 2.7 km run and happen to see Sophea. Chatted a bit and got to know that he is now under training at NIE - he's becoming a PE teacher! First time know that there would be 2 practicums where he already completed one. But good to see him exercising. He's staying at st 65 but come all the way down here to run, maybe to see his alma mater JJC? Haha...
Evening saw the news Five Stars Tours going bankrupt. Forum already got people discussing about it back at 4 plus pm, some said the outlets are closed and nobody picked up calls. But as far as I know, it's one of the largest tour agencies here, specialising organising tours to MY (till Genting region), so quite shocking that it's going bankrupt lor. Even my family has took up the Genting package before when there was still no family car yet.
